Re: Sleeping too much

Just re-read the last few pages. @Former-Member so I did not miss anything.

I dont mean to be demanding .. I can get pretty high energy .. so maybe I am manic .. sorry ..I dont know.

Having all you mother girlfriends @Decadian @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @PeppiPatty and more

has made a huge difference to my outlook and optimism. Thanks

my son and I were fine together on Christmas day .. no baby dragons or mother dragons .. calm more as equals .. he helped with the salad and I did the prawns .. it was companionable .. I guess I alwys have all the developmental stuff going through my head more than keeping traditions of christmas .. it was good for us .. relaxed .. no hype .. hot and humid ..had a friend drop in late .. they raved for an hour .. both film buffs ..and then friend raved at me for 3 hours ..

now son is back with gf its companionable again ..

@Zoe7 and the other ladies are great too.

Dear @Appleblossom

Good to see this lovely note to us all. Theres just so many people to remember now but you don't want to forget anyone because it's nice writing their names down right?

My Christmas day was fine, fine. My MIL gave me and Mum and hubby a glorious Christmas day a week before, prawn cocktails, glazed ham, perfumes for me and hubby, pavlova to finish. It was a great day. Mum outshined her Christmas Day...even my son came....he wanted to leave at 3 pm....he had friends over at his home alone....they were all going to have a party that night.

The surprising thing was that my husband began attempting to heal a 30 year old rift with his sister. It was heartbreaking for me to hear. She will never see past her own nose.

Do you remember when @Mazarita did this for me ? Its a poem I wrote....you can see it if you press HERE you can see it. I miss @Mazarita

She also did this poem of mine,,,,I am so humbled that she did it....If you press HERE you can see it...

Dear @Former-Member

My son, 26 yrs old.... @Appleblossom knows of him well goes for months not contacting me for me to get a phone call asking me to facebook stalk his latest love interest or love unhappiness, Its hard to gets used to is'nt it....but he came to the one who your son trusts.....you.

This is with no meaning anything but....what does this mean? are you meaning he is creative in his thoughts ? Or is it like...automatic writing or more like intuitive thoughts ?

You write: and that ability to look beyond what is. Thank you God.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Shaz51

I forget everyone's names too - so I just write in repsonse to what people are saying -

But I feel as if I have little to add right now - my back is giving me a hard time and sometimes it's hard to see past it - and emotional pain is far worse than physical pain - that is easy for me to say I guess - but I can take pain medication and lie down with a hot pack and even sleep maybe - so there is something I can do about it

There are worse things for sure - but ironically there are people who have different ideas - many years ago not someone I used to see often told me she thought it would be better to be a diabetic like her because there was a way to treat diabetes - I don't agree - I can treat my pain but this woman was shocked when I told her what kind of medication I take - but there are a lot of people with chronic pain around and we are not treated like lepers because of it

However emotional pain is harder to deal with - what I read here are the stories of people who struggle day to day with MI at a level I have not had myself - and life has tested me - today though - I am not quite up to responding and so I have to leave here and just let people know that I will be back when I feel more comfortable

I did read that you ate too much protein over Christmas - I had not heard of that before but then I have not heard of someone with one only kidney that is failing - in fact - your life is on the line with that one

So we all have different problems - we all have a different devil I suppose - I prefer the one I know

All the best Shaz -

Re: Sleeping too much

Hello @Decadian

hope you feel a bit better soon my friend xx

Me, well i am trying to listen to my body and what it is telling me , I have done some research as well

the thing is that everyone is different and to try to find something that works for you may not work for others

the specialist said to cut back on protein, salt which will help

but then the local Gp laughed at me about it , but he could not answer my questions

last night i was restless and had 4 leg cramps during the night for some reason which I have not had for a little while

It could be something else , who knows

In response to: Re: Sleeping too much

Re: Sleeping too much

Leg cramps @Shaz51

I get them sometimes - sometimes it's sciatica - one of the worse pains possible - fortunately not often - it's like a fire down the leg - but it doesn't last long for me. People who have it persistently would find it a hard pain to live with though

But I do wake up from cramps in my left leg usually - or in my back - that come from my spinal cord canal senosis - and that can be harder to manage - ouch - can it ever -

However I think cramps can come from dehydration or a lack of electrolyte balance which might me more in your case because you have to limit or intake of so much - and salt is important in this balance

But your doctor laughed - oh that is terrible - unless it was meant to be funny

With your health problems it could be anything I guess - no doubt you will be seeing your specialist - I hope you don't get the cramps too often

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Decadian

that doctor is not here anymore --

Yes I have sciatica and also groin arthritis

the cramps usually happen when stretch during the night

you might be right about the dehydration or a lack of electrolyte balance , have to send an email and ask that question to the specialist , will not see him until june unless something happens before then

have to do a checkup blood test before thatto keep an eye on it

hubby said I might need a anti anxiety med too

In response to: Re: Sleeping too much

Re: Sleeping too much

Ouch @Shaz51 those sciatica pains are really bad - you can get medication to help with them - but it is not something I am wanting to take myself - I feel as if I am coping with it

About your electrolytes - yes - in the hot weather the cramps could be a sign that something is out of balance and if you have to resist salt and fluids that could be difficult - seeing you have a long wait to see the specialist I guess you know whether you should email him

All the best with that
