@utopia, yeah, I have some reading catch up to do for my psychologist apt Tues (Happiness Trap), the house can wait, which it often does. My dog is enjoying a very nice soup and fighting off the neighbours cat now and then. I have 2 wild bluetongue lizards out back fed snails to through the heatwave this last week poor things. And kept water up for the birds. Glad you love the birds too. I have a massive tree out front that shades my verandah where I sit and watch the birds. Glad you enjoy doing that too, I'll be thinking of you and water well during my next cuppa. Thanks for chatting utopia, best go dooo something 🙂

So agree, if it feels ok then it is if not well then its not. And those who dont understand or care or whatever have no idea and so hopefully we draw comfort from those who do have some understanding of how it really might be.....PurpleFlowers...

Yes- I do understand isolation - and having a little spare cash doesn't ease that - and actually - loneliness rarely attracts other people - I am preparing myself for January - hopefully I will get away to Tassie for a few days
Yes - I have a few pots with good looking greens there - I will take a photo if the sun comes out - pics look so much better with the sunshine
I sent dd a text last night to talk about Christmas with the kids on the 23rd - dd has been much more friendly since my aunt's funeral and the way TS behaved - maybe being left to be the bearer of bad news made her realise fence sitting is not a good idea or maybe TS shot of her mouth about my not talking to her - but there has been a positive change in attitude
As hard as it is and I know it's hard - your son and his girlfriend can visit on Christmas Day - it doesn't have to be all day - don't make it easy for him
After all - had we not inconvenienced ourselves in a big way just before these kids were born - we could not inconvenience them today because they would not be here. Everyone is in too much of a bad state or too unfriendly for either of us to need to see on Christmas Day but not our kids - you said before - they are our Christmas

Most of me is okay but my back is complaining because I went around the outside of my unit with a broom and spider spray to get the webs down and squish lots of spiders - particularly juvenile orb spiders and some full grown ones - the can give a filthy, infected bite
So my back is complaining but I am please to notice how clean the house looks

yes they saidi it would be raining today and it is not raining !!
it is hot here , done a little bit this morning but my legs are aching
I am ok , very tired
been having lots of leg and foot cramps during the night this week , painful i must say
and then yesterday, things goes ok for a little while with hubby , I start to feel confident and going forward when something always happens and ruins it ,
I am getting the feeling that he wants to and needs to be in control of everything , all the time

Late last night, I was at a friends and ate 2 timtam bickies......I was on a sugar high all night!!! If I share the rest with you I think I can have another.....so bringing them for our coffee ...is this cool with everyone ??
