Dear @Decadian
When I think of my sons and my childhood and my Mum and her childhood and her offspring including me
Alright;
1. Generational issues
2. who is there to be upfront and work on themselves through it all ?
3. Who is there for support after the turmultuous sea change of rearing children going into adulthood and after their own times of MI?
4. Who is there to get support after terrible times after 50 years old?
Hi @PurpleFlowers
When I read @PurpleFlowers.....I feel this.
Your beautiful sign, purple flowers.......moving on.........

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @PeppiPatty
Generational problems - oh yes - I have been working on that
This all started generations back in my family and TS has decided to continue this into the next generations and of course other people in the family are colleral damage regarding all this toxic behviour from the past
I am well past 50 years old and still accessing professional help - for many years I saw people who treated me pro bono but now I am seeing a therapist of my choice
We have to continue seeking help for as long as we need it - we didn't start the toxic issues - earlier generations did. Was it war or the depression or were people just that way? I find those excuses - every generations has it's environmental issues - from the beginning the earliest homonids - and we have evolved dealing with problems
It seems painful and unfair - it is painful and unfair - that we suffer for the failure of our ancestors to adapt to the trouble of their times - but that's what happened
All we can do is stop this in our generation - and this is not easy - we need to deal with this at the time
And I think here that most people are trying to do just that - perhaps a radical thought - however everyone here seems to be trying to put the situation right and make life better and I just hope that people can do this

Re: Sleeping too much
@PeppiPatty, I'd love to have a cool swim with you, very intuitive of you - I slept in late and woke very hot and dehydrated when I read your post, thank you.
Already 35° here, wish I his myself in F&Hs suitcase lol.
F&H Every time I open the fridge I think of you, stand there a moment longer sending hugs.
Apple, you inspire me getting out & mixing. I find it really had and have a pattern of quitting before it benefits. Yesterday I caught myself singing 'Jesus loves me' of all things (probably 'cause I'd watched that movie with Whitney Houston 'the body guard' Love her earlier voice and her movies. Have you seen her in 'The Preacher'? Anyway, that's where I keep defaulty to (my couch & dvd) instead of the real thing, like choirs, like you do. Keep inspiring me.
The weekend was hard listening to the local 'Carole's By Candlelight' and remembering fun times with the kids, wanting to walk up and join in but, standing there ALONE in a crowd (an insular small township), not belonging... I can't, I'd be a basket case and, well what's the point? Tearing up just thinking about it. Wouldn't it be nice if I was close enough to a group somewhere where we could all go together, as a group we belong with? Standing alone... can't do it.
Worried about my garden in this heat, and the new nursery setup potting plants to sell. Might have to shuffle them into shade.
Small blessings, a few years back a tree sprung up on the west side of my house and grew so fast it has already outgrown anything else and shades almost all the house on the westside. Such a blessing, and somewhat amazing, the trunk is twice a telegraph pole thick in only 8yrs. Outside my girls bedroom window actually. A Godsend.
Well, need to keep convoy light for a while. Just don't handle this time of year alone sorry. Hey, but I do have you guys this time, that will make a difference, thank you. Oh gosh, crying now. Don't wanna get gloomy. Need a cuppa. I'll imagine you're here with me, having ice blocks on the veranda watching the birds, now that's a nice thought 🙂
