Re: Sleeping too much
I just saw your post and felt so sad for you. It must be so hard for you having that reaction from your mum. I was wondering if you'd tried the PHaMs program too where you have a support worker to do some activities with or plan for new things too. When mine came last week we planned to go out for coffee this week to get out of the house. I was just thinking that might be nice for you too. I'm not sure what is available in your area. It seems like you could do with having some support from someone who would encourage you. I was wondering with your musical talents too if there was something you could get involved with too. You've possibly posted this in the past and I've just not read it. I know I have to find a hobby or leisure activity to get me out the house because at the moment I have no outlet at all. I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and hoping that your day picks up. I loved @Faith-and-Hope s butterfly too. My therapist uses a similar approach and has given me a beautiful butterfly fridge magnet to remind me of that and her hope for me. It sometimes helps. Take care, sending hugs💜💐

Re: Sleeping too much
"Don't wear it honey .... it's not your size, and the colour is all wrong !!" ..... in other words, this family is not a good fit for you, or your self esteem ...... but it's them, not you ..... don't for one minute accept one piece of that emotional abuse .... drop it into the dust at your feet, step over it, being careful to wipe your shoes on it as you do, and walk on !! You are worth so much more than that !!
Good grief .... you sound like the only white sheep in that flock .....
Some morher's never learn, and some siblings learn from mothers who never learn. They have just given you every reason to keep minimal, basic, barely polite contact, but that is all. Try not to waste a perfectly good day on turning over any more of their rubbish in your mind.
Put on the kettle, I'm here for virtual coffee, visiting you (putting on my kettle now) and you can come to my house later in the week ....
Can you look into Phams,I like @Former-Member suggested ? Lets get some nicer people I to your world !
You know something ? The most basic parenting is puttiing a roof over your kids head, clothes on them, and food in their mouth. Your parents did that. Debt paid. You owe them nothing, because that's all they chose to put into the parenting role, or that's all they were capable of .... loosen the bond and keep your heart out of their way. You have ticked your dutiful daughter box many times over, and you have outgrown them all Tawney-girl.
Eyes on the butterfly, and lift that chin !! Milk and two sugars please ....
Big hugs ❤❤❤💕

Dearest @Former-Member
Had to read your message over and over again.......what a silly silly man. I can tell you that his attitude toward his own Mum is awful
Doesnt get you far at all though.
My first husband was like this. Took years and years to realise it wasn't my fault.....
This book helped me sO MUCH......
Intimacy And Solitude : Balancing Closeness and Independence Paperback – April 16, 1994
by Stephanie Dowrick (Author)
She writes about not just us women but what is happening in the nasty person's life as well, it gave me a lot of perspective and was a bible for a few years and still refer to it.
If you have time, can you look it up ??
My husband is trying very hard to be nice to me today. At last after many years if day dreaming: I'm off to my first lesson of quilt making tomorrow.
How are you today ??

@Former-Member, the phams program is run by non gov organisations. In my district centrecare run it. It doesn't cost and you self refer. They don't need a diagnosis and symptoms of depression or anxiety are often what they consider. They just look at your life and if they can help. You do have to have goals to achieve but it's not a cut and run program if you don't tick the boxes. Prior to this one I had one for over a year and it helped heaps. This one we have my long term goal set to volunteer but we are starting with baby steps and just trying to get a few things routines for now like self care and a few household jobs. I told her I needed to feel human and get out and so we are planning small outings for the next four weeks and then we will review and see what else is important. One week we have planned to go for a walk together to make sure I get some exercise. Anyway she is full of encouragement and will help motivate me to achieve some very small but meaningful goals. Not sure if you're interested. I think they run from every state. I'm sorry to hear you've crashed, I'm not surprised. I think I would have too. I like @Faith-and-Hope comments re they don't suit you, you deserve better. I hope a movie helps. Hugs💐💜💐💜💐💜
