@Former-Member. The feeling is mutual. This is such a wonderful, safe forum, full of caring, supportive people.

Re: Sleeping too much

Thank you @peppipatti.
I was saying to my old friend today - that some of my friends think I'm weird. I pray to the spirits before I sit and meditate on their rock.
As he said - it's not weird. I was meant to find what I did. It was a gift the spirits gave me.
I like his interpretation.

DEar @utopia

It's difficult, don't listen to your friends who think that you are weird. Embrace it babe.

I Cannot believe that I've lost the friend I thought I had. But she smokes green 24/7......she doesnt want to listen to me, I havent seen her in a year and she now OWNS a home and is it a great home but at the end of the day, it's 4 walls.

Remember what

Donald Laing writes: He says that you can live your life just right up and down and thats fine but the people who live their life with the line of their lives going up and curved ....have a more interesting fufilling and creative one. THEY contribute.

You contribute here @utopia

Where does your spirituality come from @utopia Can you feel it at certain times? What time do you feel the dtrongest? I am only learning learning all the time.......

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh no, Crying+++ Thought talking to my son would be good, and I was so pleased when he picked up, BUT... he was busy preparing a surprise Birthday Party for his girl (defactoDIL) tonight. He's invited 16 friends and her parents (from 600km away). Me & my spontaneity blurts out "oh, how come I wasn't invited? I'd like to come to that. His very monotone firm comeback, yhrough what sounded like gritted teeth, was "mum, his is a 'happy' time!" (in other words - don't spoil it). I said I just feel left out & bravely changed the subject to end on a happy tone. So, I'm upset, again, by myself when... It makes mW feel so invalidated and unloved and unwanted... Her family came to his grad, then he had a weekend away with them at a resort interstate the last long weekend. He hasn't come home since last Nov and has trouble taking calls. WHATS SO WRONG WITH ME! Must be my MI , I don't know, I try so hard to be controlled and withdrawn around him and proper and clean and well spoken & polite... even jovial. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?? Its rimes like tonight that the worldcis screaming at me WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE ANYMORE! Fianr tsunami SI smash in the face, bowled me and over. Think I'm sooo F%@# angry. So over it. Talk about supersensitive @Former-Member, WT#, I need to go for a walk, try not to play in the traffic, ha ! that's a joke in this moth eaten place. Why did he tell me! Its like they (evil) WANTS to wound me. Grr, Just tell me how to NOT get upset. betta go.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hey @Former-Member ,

I know that you are feeling so hurt and let down right now and it's totally understandable. I also know you have to let those emotions out somewhere right now. Crossing fingers they come out in a safe way.

When you are able to let those feelings pass which I'm guessing will take a while you should congratulate yourself for pulling it together again. He didnt hang up on you and you proved to him that you are not the person he thinks you are. I bet that hurt but you are so brave to rise above it. Remember that this is a long haul. It's going to take a long time for him to trust you in his mind. I know that you haven't done anything for him not to trust you but he has things he needs to sort in his brain. The fact that he answered today is a good thing, I just wish the content was a little different. Keep going with this, it may not seem like it but you are winning him back slowly. I know this is so hard to see when you are in it but from an outside view it looks like things will get better. You are learning and growing all the time and he will definitely see this if we can.

sending loads of hugs 🤗 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Re: Sleeping too much

@PeppiPatty. I have no idea. But I've always been a touch person. So I see a tree I like - I will run my hands along its trunk. I touch the leaves. I hug trees. Always have. Sometimes I used to do it secretly when no one was looking. I'm 46 now and have just gone through a nightmare 2 plus years - so I no longer care what people think.
Life is too short.
I've struggled with a bit of constant low level anxiety recently - re my old friend & I've found I've been really restless. And I'm bored being at home now that my MI is getting better. So I was trying to think of what I could do to try and calm down and refocus.
I was going to take my old friend up to see the view at the top of the mountain. He couldn't come - but I decided to go myself.
Best decision. And now I go at least twice a week.
I've always loved the underdog. And first peoples from around the world have always been the most badly treated - but the most likely to teach us about a better way of living.
I don't like how our country, our world is all based on Economics - instead of people & the environment.
So I guess it all ties in. And as I'm learning to love myself - I try and feel that up on the mountain and picture my live spreading out across the land and it's people and spreading further.
I've always believed that the more you share (what you can give - eg: love, kindness, a smile) - the better the world and the better you feel.
Sorry. That was a long waffle. Never been asked that before. So had to work out the answer - as I type.

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member WE DO WANT YOU HERE .. PLEASE

Part of its about me ..I dont have anyone else that makes me feel normal in the level of family dysfunction I deal with ... part of it is all the unique things that are different about us .. your nursing ...

My son is doing a bit of that at the moment .. being controlling about when I am in involved or not .. and then testing .. or being extra polite in a patronising way. I still love him .. and in that it is unconditional

We can get through this sista.

Maybe the next thing.. is to do some imaginings of what YOU really want to do with your son and his other half .. what would honestly make you happy that would kind of fit in with their personalitites too ... dream on it ..

@utopia love your dreaming

Rocks are powerful stuff .. I am into them either way ... science ... or sacred place

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member I just re read your last post. I hope I didn't minimise how you feel because I know I would react the exact same way as you. When I read it I just wanted to be there with you because I knew how you would be feeling. My heart sank for you in a physical way, my chest actually went tight. This phone call does not define your worth at all. He still needs you but he just isn't showing right now. Deep down I know you know this too. I guess the other part of your post that resonated was that through all the pain I saw hope. I hope you can find a way to let this go. I know you are having a bad time of things and it's a really tricky time of year and this didn't help. It's just a glitch. You have so much to be here for. We all need you here too. 💜💐🤗
