Antipsychotics can be lifesavers. I certainly would no longer be alive without them. 🎶💕

Fell asleep reading back through the posts - my tiredness, not the content - and my D3 confiscated my iPad .... putting it on the other side of the room .... lol .... role-reversal starts happening at this age ....
Woke after about 6hrs sleep, but will doze off again now I think .... might grab a hot chocolate to help the cause ....
Sending gentle hugs out to all of you ....
😘 ....... ❤️❤️❤️

I
I'm feeling guilty for not answering to door to one of the kyb ladies. The house just isn't up to potential gossiping VC. So conflicting when ya lonely. Might start arranging for coffee out and now the kids are gone keep this place as my little sanctuary. That way too I don't expect or get disappointed with visitor's.

Re: Sleeping too much
Having another day of detox symptoms .... hasn't been long since the last round .... so yay at one level, blah at another .... headachey, sore lymph glands in my neck, fuzzy head .... but it means the toxic fat stores are shifting .... that's the yay part ....
Sounds like a good idea to have the coffee time out somewhere. That way you still get the socialisation part without the VCs of this world tiring you out with their nothing-better-to-do crappola ....
WTG .... 😊🌷

Thank you for your care @Former-Member It means a lot. it is informed re family issues and a bit re meds. I tend to agree more with you about the meds. I was feeling pretty dead inside today but dragged myself out and had a wonderful day. But I am prettty sure that I know it was what happened in the day and not the meds ...
To be frank it seems ludicrous that i need to start using them at my age when I had managed without for so long .. but also I was in a lot of pain .. so trying to find a level where I dont have to be such a bloomin masochist.
I have been feeling isolated and cornered a lot in last few years .. but maybe this new volunteer role is just what I need. In a way I trust proper work & study environments more than private situations as there are usually standards of conduct and grievance procedures.
Teaching at home alone .. made me a bit vulnerable to my son .. and giving everything up to and for him .. not that he did the wrong thing it is just the way dynamic was. The role also connects me to my old sciece side and @Kurra I get to wear my old field trip boots again ... YIPPEE ... so that will be better for me than anti-psychotics .. but I will be compliant and follow due process.
And it was good to be in a room where lots of women had done science and so I was not being evil and satanic if I used that kind of language as opposed to pietistic language which I simply cannot do.

Re: Sleeping too much
Okay ... don't know where my reply went .... so will start again.
I have been going up and down on the scales by about 7kg for the last ten years @Former-Member .... but this doesn't mean I haven't been losing weight .... I have !
I have come down 1.5 to 2 clothing sizes, evidenced by the fit of my old clothes, but even then, the clothes are looser in the arms and legs, but not in the mid-section where the toxic fat stores are hard to shift.
Toxic fat weighs heavier than "normal" fat ....so when I lose some form my mid-section, you would expect a drop on the scales, but not if O am gaining muscle, or have some water retention happening.
Sooo ..... I avoid the scales like the plague, and just focus on being as reasonably healthy as I can re sleep, exercise, diet, and de-stress is the big one considering our circumstances .... I let the fit of my clothes and how I feel tell me how I'm doing.
Here is a link to a govt-sponsored site that spells it out. The image it contains is a bit graphic, but I know through your nursing you are likely acclimatised to that.

Re: Sleeping too much
It's been a real education for me @Former-Member ..... I exercise and eat well, but I didn't know that stress hormones cause insulin release .... like I was eating cream cakes or something .... and I was being frowned upon by the doctor as if I was being a naughty girl and not listening, regarding cleaning up my diet making lifestyle changes ..... like I was lying about what I was doing ....
Sure didn't need that judgement or pressure .... and it gave everyone an out .... I actually got told to take a leaf out of WH's book cos he seemed to be achieving excellent results ..... will wait for an apology from the doc re that one .... !!!
Getting a diagnosis over WH will allow everyone to understand what has happened to the health management of all our family members.
That site for Live Lighter has some great recipes on it .... and it's motivational.
