Eucalyptus works too, I think, but check you're not allergic to it first. @utopia 😊

Re: Sleeping too much

I have only been on night meds for a week. @utopia I will figure it out ...

Remember I managed my dementing girlfriends med regime for a week .... of 35 injections 7 patches and about 150 pills .. only in the beginning of October ... and the daughter carried on like it was life & death ... but they were highly accepting about excess sugar.

Sorry I was nice about it to them and careful .. but internally I believe the science is out that longterm excess sugar intake does lead to diabetes ...

I also believe "Potatoes over Pro-zac" is closer to the mark for genuine mental health.

Blind following of doctor's prescriptions seems a little foolish ... they are people and the science is inexact.

Anyway ... best to try and keep my daily cycle good. Thanks all .. Nite

Re: Sleeping too much

Aw @Former-Member - don't be hard on yourself about the anniversaries - I have them in bunches too - I have them coming up too - and yes - it is hard to be alone on those hard dates - so you have grief and that grief is fresh - I wish I had a cure for the broken hearted - alas - if I did I might use it all myself

But if a soothing thought - it is okay to feel so bad about things - they happened and every darn date that comes around brings its misery - and as we get old there are more of them

About toxic sisters - mine is younger too - how jealous she is of me! Now - I ask myself - and it helped me get over the last serve of ill-humour from her - either I went to the funeral or I didn't - neither would suit her - and either I spoke to her I didn't - and neither suited her - but one good thing arose from this serve of toxic-sister stew - I have had enough of extending proverbial olive branches - and to glare with so much venom at me in a public place with people who know us - oh what bad thing that was - other people had to see her.

Anyway - about yours - why send her a card - she is determined to dislike you - in fact - I used to exchange gifts with mine and the last one she gave me I decided to get rid of it - and I made the mistake of taking a walk on a beautiful Saturday with everyone about but finally shoved the plate into someone's front garden - and we have not exchanged gifts or cards since - at least there is some honesty

And your sister could not feel empathy with your daughter's death - neither could mine when my son died - she can't talk about it - it uspets her too much - poor little sisters - se have to be ourselves and bad luck if we can't please them

But I know it hurts because we are not this way - we do not set out to hurt them - but alas - they cannot be pleased

I feel for you - there is so much pain in what you wrote - pain that is there and won't leave and can't be seen - and it all adds to the grief. Being alone has certain advantages - but it can be so isolating - it can be so hard to go out - and so easy to know that few people care

I get it - I understand

Mozzies @Former-Member

I had one in my bedroom a couple of nights back - and while I had the light on I knew it was down beside the bedside table where I could not reach it and did not want to poison myself and the cat with spray -

I turned the light out and heard the little so-n-so - and it bit me - so I slept with the light on - pest of a thing

Re: Sleeping too much

I don't like to spray in the bedroom either @Decadian
I do if I don't have to be in there and the window is open, otherwise I try and get them with a flyswat. I'm sure they see the fly swat and hide. 😂

Hope all goes well at doctor's today @Former-Member 💕

Nice sunny day here. I hope everyone has a nice day. 💜🌞

Re: Sleeping too much

I'm sure they can see the swatter @Former-Member

They always seem to get into a spot where I can't reach them - or perch on the ceiling

I better get my girl to school. Enjoy your day.
What are your plans today? 🌷🌺🌼🌻

Re: Sleeping too much

I'm going shopping this afternoon @Former-Member

And I am going to buy a fly/mosquito swatter - well - I hope I can find enough space to get the little demons

We have a mosquito plague in Melbourne - the weather has been perfect for them - and they seem to be big ******* as well

I've decided not to post a pic of a mozzie - I think we will have seen enough of them before long
