Re: Sleeping too much
Your cat sounds beautiful and bossy. Have you noticed how our lives seem to revolve around their time lines and their needs.
When you've had little sleep - do you tend to take a nap during the day?

Re: Sleeping too much
That meets the requirements for uni entry .... but she prepared for 2 TAFE Certs so she had a back-up if she failed one .... so if she sits the other one in a couple of weeks she will have both in her portfolio ..... otherwise she will lose the work she has done in that subject. It will be good to have that sort of result after so much injury and illness held her back and made the struggles so intense.
See how we go ....
All good ....

Re: Sleeping too much
But even more exciting. She gets to go to Uni!!!!
A year off to do some art course or similar and a bit of part time work or volunteering. She will grow alot next year and will then be ready for Uni in 2018.

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @utopia
I feel like watching a movie or reading but if I do either I am likely to go to sleep - amd I take my antihistamines at night so as to not make me drowsy during the day - and I am waiting for someone to ring me back so taking a walk isn't a good idea either
I think I have sorted TS out in my head - I had to think it through - that hateful look on her face had to have been seen by other people - I realise that she is so used to me being pleasant - that's my nature - and I guard my face around her - but that day I was not going to say something I might regret - so I said nothing.
Perhaps it is hypocritical to act pleasantly toward her when I know how nasty she is - but why be as bad as her? - her 10 year old behaviour still works for her - so she continues to behave that way
Anyway - when I did wake up and the cat crawled out of the bed grouching and meowing I had slept rather late and felt better than I have for a few days - it's as if I have to sort out my head about my behaviour - and I did - and I know I behaved in the right way - and there is no way I want TS in my life - but she's there - and families are sticky - we share a lot of elderly relatives and I have no doubt she will snake her way into my life and bite me again - but perhaps I can develop some TS antivenom before then
Yes - my cat is bossy and getting old and I love her - she gives me plenty to talk about and
I am thinking that you must be on your way to your therapist by now - so let's know how you are when you get home

Re: Sleeping too much
This TS is who she is. You won't put up with her behavior anymore. So you bump into her at the next family event. You just do what you did at the funeral. She holds no power over you - anymore.
Driving from one side of ny town to the other side where my appointment is takes about 3 minutes. So I just mowed half the backyard. Trying to keep busy and am now dressed and ready to go.

Hi @utopia
I think that antivenom is to be found in finding the cause of uncomfortable emotions even when it really hurts to go there - and it was not until I realised that other people saw her face - had to have - that I felt okay about her behaviour on Monday -
Since she left to to my dd to tell me our aunt had died I will have to watch my cousins' facebook messages just in case other relatives pass and I am not told about it
You are right - she has no power over me - even when I was trying to discuss this with a friend - even on Life Line - I was having trouble explaining myself - and I think she would have the power if I had not gone deep inside myself to find out how bitchy she is and accept that
Aw - that face - and guess what - I bet her family heard about it all the way home - she was enraged
All the best with your long drive to the other side of town

Re: Sleeping too much
Went for my walk (3rd day feel like I've been hit by a bus). Don't wanna quit so just took some analgesia 'till the body adjusts. Probably didn't help that I vacuumed for a sick friend last night.
Test drove my new washing machine - really good!
I also like the concept of toxic sister anti venine. Haven't talked to mine for 4+ yes now, she's even telling people she doesn't have a sister. Something o said mother says. Its her 53rd B'day next week - guess I'll still send a card. Just 'not 'good enough' for some people. Didn't help that I went a not rogue when my daughter passed. Some people are just determined to dislike you, bit I don't see what that's got yo do with fily or love, or being a church goer married yo a doctor, living 1,500km away. Just a power thing or snob thing I think. Sad to say but I never really felt close to my baby sister.
Actually, November is the start of my 3month run of sad anniversaries. My Nan died Melbourn Cup day, my daughters B'day Nov25th, Christmas Day (alone the last 2yrs), Australia Day - the day of my D1 passing. I hope I'm a little stronger this time round. When there's been man loss all celebrations have that something missing, and its sad. My Birthday is March and Mother's Day May - had no visitors for either of these for years. Blackdog tells me its because I deserve it & should exit stage left, but syaryi g to realise - its more about the people in my life than me. I've tried everything.
.there I go, enough of that.
Gotta have bloods tomorrow (anemia, low iron stores, cholesterol was up 6% last time so...)

Re: Sleeping too much
Because it cannot always be you. They must have their own bitter poison to contend with. But it sounds like they need a victim to take it out on.
Don't be their victim. If they are toxic to be around - avoid them.
We all need supportive loving people in our lives. If a family member can't offer that - find others that will.
Life is too short and precious. Surround yourselves with those who truly care.
Love to you all.
