Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

I am so glad you woke up without pain today - I am often glad I just wake up - without pain is great - and rare -

I am wondering about the otc you took that could get you high - as far as I know that could only be a lower that therapeutic dose of a regular tablet - the fuzzy feeling you have could be your sinuses - or spin of from neck pain - I know just about all I want to about that kind of medication - and I doubt it could get anyone high

But yeah - your pain can - and if you have a sense of humour about it - your one brain kicks off on endorphines (will that get red-lighted) and although it doesn't work for long it can get you high

Let's all sing praises to our own endorphines -

I hope you feel better soon

Decadian

[still laughing that the doctor thought you were high on an OTC] hugs though

@Former-Member

IMO take the meds .... your girl will find other ways to reach you .... and she won't want you to be stuck in grief .....

You knew her up to a certain age .... and at that age she had all the baby dragon characteristics of that age ..... and baby dragons are hard on their mums at any age .... but they mature and moderate too .... they change .... and you relationship still has to change too ....

The beauty of the future is there along with the hole in the heart stuff, it's just that you can't see it and she can .... she just showed you she has different ways of reaching out to you .... and it can be exciting to see how that will happen next, as you close one door and start looking around for the open window ....

Take the meds and step into the next stage of recovery .... she might lead you to know who she is as an older adolescent, and then as a young woman ..... but she needs you to be strong enough to walk forward with her ....

Can I suggest something to you ? That you look at things that might appeal to her in the age that she is now .... and see whether she taps you on the shoulder ... whether someone around you says something that resonates as what she might have said .... live with your girl @Former-Member, taking baby steps forward .... look for her in the world around you.

She will find you where you are.

Trust. Believe. Hope.

I find happy surprises from my mother strewn across my path .... but there are ways I have had to walk to find them .....

🌷💜💕

@Faith-and-Hope

That is so beautiful

I had never thought of my son as being a man in early middle age - but at 46 he can't be the scatter-brained child in a young man's body

He will have matured - as I said - I can never turn in time to see him - I don't know what he is like now - yet any way

So you also said "I have had to walk different ways to find (surprises from your mother) - for me those are thin on the ground and always there from my father though

He has came through for me in big ways - not often but certainly - he is still helping me out

Wonderful thoughts @Faith-and-Hope

Repost from 11:00 AM

Yes @Decadian, I don't think the otc strong analgesic is giving me a high, need it atm. Anything the shut us up & move onto their next patient.

Think the back is a pinched nerve re tension as I held myself pretty tight for the grad & lead up to.

On a brighter note I, my mood seems to have picked up, haven't gone down hard for some weeks. Maybe this is due to the increase in medication - maybe this is the right dose.

Someone at church even said I seem better - probably because the social anxiety is heaps less. A good thing.

There's a down side for me, it seems my departed daughter doesn't talk/ visit as much. The meds numb everything. All this makes me doubt my belief my girl is still with us in spirit but then my mum rings me this week (note timing) to tell me my girl came to her in a dream, told her she was at her brothers grad and with us and insisted she tells me. "tell mum" she said she said.

So, do I go off meds so I can hear her again?

I still cry. While pruning my girls mulberry tree this morning, where she made a fairyland for her friends, I had to get down off the ladder as the memories & tears took power out of my muscles (simply put). Controlled collapse. No tablet takes away the memories, not sure I'd want it to. Oh dear, sorry, got carried away, and teary again.

2pm nearly
Reposing this I just can't get warm, even after the gardening this morning - going back to bed under 2doona with heat pack. brrr

Thanks @Decadian, for your support, sharing your grief story too. Helps. My girl would be 18yrs but picturing her as a mature woman, she's a beautiful soul, strong. So too is your boy I guess 🙂

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope, the heart tree pic is lovely & made me teary because I think it is a mulberry tree too // what's IMO? // I know I have to keep taking the meds (for a change) and move fwd, fuess if God wants me to hear from my girl then together they'll find a way. Only the other day, in quiet time the Holy Spirit revealed to me she is with the trinity, dancing, and in Him I reach her too (if that makes any sense). You know, she nagged me to be baptised that year before she died, at 11, we looked hard & found someone. She knew. The"s with the Lord. I'm glad your mum breaks through too - thanks for saying :).
