Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

Elderly cats and elderly single owners - yes - this can be problem

Snugly is off to see about her teeth as well as getting her shots and check-up tomorrow - a blood test before she has a GA - better her than me with the GA - I have hallucinations when I am down under one of those - scary

Anyway - the cat question - if my cat keeps her health I will keep her and love her as long as she lasts - and then take a couple of overseas trips - and after I have been to London and New Zealand I think I will adopt an aging cat - not all old cats are available for adoption - one reason I am not travelling overseas while I still have Snugly - I have never had her in a cattery and my dd drops in and checks on Snugs when I am interstate - and she is fine on her own - she has the run of the house and saves up punishing me when I get home - [ooh - what a story!!!] -

I have a bad cat when I get home after a few days - I can't tell her that I will be back if I travel overseas though - she could die in a cattery from stress with the crystals in her bladder -

It is a problem @Former-Member

I'm glad you like the cat poem - I had coffee with dd this morning and we were talking about our cats - hers has just had her teeth scaled and been to the place where they groom cats - hers is a long-hair

Hi @Former-Member. How are you? Been busy? I spent the afternoon laughing with my best friend. Greatest medicine in the world.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

Cracks in the corners of your mouth might mean you are run-down or it might be the wind or not

I find vaseline on those sores enough because I can keep putting more on because I keep licking it off

Some one once told me to put horse manure on those sort of sores - it stops you from licking at them - really bad joke - d'uh - but alas - true

We really do need to eat properly - I didn't think much about it just liking salads a lot - but after a couple of weeks not eating much I really noticed how tired I was - and how had it was to start eating again - but I have - I even got some eggs - I don't eat many eggs - but I have found that a fried egg on toast is a good thing when there is not much appetite about

You must be tired - I am glad you and your partner take shifts with the little guy - another reason people need to parents

I hope you feel better today - of course - that wind is driving us all a bit wonky and bonkers - I am tired of it - and it was cold today

@Former-Member. You never need apologise to me fir mmissing my posts. We are both lucky that if we are not traveling well, that there will be someone on the forum to help us through.
Was a tough week, dealing with issues I haven't had to deal with before for an old friend - so bought up a bit of old history. But better now and able to cope.
No I didn't go to hospital. That must have been someone else.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi Everyone, sorry but, i've been really busy laying down today lol How are we this present moment❔

@Former-Member, did you get a power nap in today? Understandably need to process and rough weekend. 'New start' is a really great attitude to start the week.
I'm a bit numb? Which worries me because there's a reason i turn off, its too hard to face, when awareness comes back it hits hard. Might have to do some mindfulness - try get back in touch before that happens. Thanks for asking Bridget. 😴💕

@Former-Member, hi, loved looking at different tears under a microscope. It really is one day at a time to stay balanced. And like what your mum says "sometimes it's best to act as if nothing ever happened, because it's to do with them, just smile" it works and keeps the peace.

@TAB, H E L L O !

@Hi Decadian, time will tell with our pets. They are worth the effort.

@Appleblossom, very funny haha! It's a happy bird, Yellow, not green. A mood pick me up not vomit, thank you very much lol
How might you be tonight. Back home?

@Change123, nice to see you here. Yep, sleep is an escape from the world and even our own thoughts. It is for me too. Trouble is its not really living and the things we avoid become harder to face later. So, we have to keep trying. Also, I think MI is very trying and we need quality sleep, but more than 10hrs a day can be harmful long term so i try not to go that long. Just realized Couch potato & TV is an escape too. Oh dear... Just have to do the best we can, hey? Tell me, what do you think you avoid facing the most? Big hug💛💚💙💜 Like what F@H said: teens needing to be kicked out of bed by mum because their self-motivation is just not happening. We have to become our own inner parent - even play tricks with ourselves and little rewards. Make deals with ourself. Pyjama days are great catch up times at home. A load of washing on, or start the stock-pot cooking in the kitchen.... To justify the pyjama day to myself as not having given up on life ... Whatever works really. Getting too hot to lay in bed maybe.🌷

@Faith-and-Hope, glad someone likes my avatar - its a bird, a happy bird i enhanced the colours on to look brighter. Want to feel good when i see it. Hope fully others will too. Have you been good today? Any 🐬today? Do you think D3 will last the distance? So close now.

My dog has a crook back leg, lymping, it has a sore so hope its not cancer. It looks like a raised black wart with a hole in it. Putting cream on but he doesn't like it. Hes a worry, laying around more but its warmer.

Mum tx today, she finally let a nurse in to help shower dad which is good. She actually liked and thanked me for the skirt i mailed down last week. Shes dropped 2 dress sizes and needs a new wardrobe. If i see something on sale that really looks like her - i grab it. She use to mail the kids stuff all the time. Her thing. And stickers 😕

Went to KYB (forced myself), it was more relaxed and we had a cuppa ☕for a change. This term is a study on women of the bible - Hagar, Mary, Miriam, Martha.

Well, better get some dinner, not really hungry but haveca nice fried rise leftovers. Check in later. 🐶🐦🐥🐧
