I hope the current status for him settles the waters, so you can rest a bit easier.

Re: Sleeping too much
especially if you're having Suicidal Ideation (SI) Those thoughts can be so powerful - talking about them can neutralize their effect ans the crushing anxiety that comes with it. You've been told you're not worth fighting for by so many people, don't start saying it to yourself by your thoughts, beliefs and actions. Were all telling you tonight you are worth it. So please be kind to yourself, especially tonight after being brave enough to open up to us, find support etc. Things will be different now. Have a hot chocolate and go to bed early tonight. We'll be here, big hug 💓💓💕

Re: Sleeping too much
x 5 brothers with spoilt wives - what a nightmare. Sounds like you were a little too giving and burned out. Some people are just takers, we need to save a bit for ourself in such an environment. Personal Anniversary dates and Easter, Christmas, birthdays, mothers fathers day, they're all hard alone, i even find valentines day difficult. Silly really when its just a date on a calender, well, it isn't is it - its so much more.
It is hard to be tired of been tired That feeling of hopelessness and even tired of that?? But, bare with me while i point out the flip side of that - for me to be that shot - there's little energy for anxiety, for fussing over little things, to care what people think or argue a point that just never gonna sink in. Things just don't matter so much and you can rest in the arms of a loving universe that wants you to keep growing. Sometime rock-bottom is where we need to go to fix faculty foundations and rebuild from the bottom up. You have a strength in you i sense it. 🏡🏠🌷

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @SC22
We have codes for people in our lives because we don't use any names here -
So if I have a TS and an alcoholic brother - who would be AB I guess but I really have little to say to him or about him - I actually snarled at him after our mother's funeral - and this is not my style in my old age at all
So - you have a family of brutal behaviours worth recording so I guess you have SB & SIL1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
UGH!!!!
I insist on seeing my dd and her family on Christmas Day - she has a lot of step-children and I see them and their families on Christmas Eve - but I have spent New Year, some of my birthdays and most of other people's and Easter, public holidays and certain painful anniversaries alone - I get it. And both my parents are dead now - but I did have a good relationship with my father and not long before he died he and I had one of those conversations that everyone should have and few people do. When my mother died it was terrible - I fainted at home and was taken to hospital and had a nasty row with dd - how do people get to feel that their way is the only way?
It can cut to the bone - and does - and yet there really is nothing we can do about it ourselves and yes - I understand - I would do anything reasonable to help TS - but she is not going to ask - and that is her choice
You are making sense - I hope that finding some like-minded and like-suffering people here things might be a little easier tonight
We are here for each other most of the time - there is nearly always someone around and all we have to do is start posting and people start liking and commenting
I am really glad you have found us

Re: Sleeping too much
I'm the selfish little sister that expects your help, but it can't be a one way street!
I hear your voice in life being unfair..
Out of the ordinary...there are many of those about @TAB...It's called being a personality.😊
You've got many qualities to offer...
Physical ailments lower mood, but it will be ok ...I think thank goodness for mazzy, those kinds...💛👍🐰....sometimes I feel my voice means little, I've no more to give...but it's just a matter of hanging on...time passes...I then see beautiful places I've known, that no one Will ever take from me...temporary...is many a situation..tomorrow I'll hold on for 👍

Re: Sleeping too much
Wow!!!!!!!!!!
That's it @Faith-and-Hope
I can sing it now - after all the years since I took my trusty guitar around to the church and sat on the floor and played and sang with the Youth Group and I still have the tune and the words in my head (and I think they will be there all night)
I might even have it among my music - but I have a lot of that - old music I mean - I remember the song book though -
It says what @Former-Member was getting at - people as human beings are a social species - and it can be so soul-destroying when people who attend church and maybe do a lot of good at times can still get it wrong
Since I moved down to this area 43 years ago I have been to three different churches - and I left - mostly because of criticism - if people had thought - if I had felt confident to tell them - they might have been more understanding - but I left two churches - fed up
But I am still associated with the third church - because the vestry decided one service a week was enough I missed the 5.00pm week day Evening Prayers. I miss church so much - I have been into Melbourne to St Paul's Cathedral with my Tassie rellies - but they haven't been over here lately - they are aging. I have been on my own
Yes - I have this little true story - at the second church I didn't like trying to help with the dishes - people would be moving around too fast and I am never steady - and the cups would be rinsed quickly and I can hardly stand that - so I would go around during the week and wash the dishes with hot soapy water and steel wool - and to me it doesn't matter that no one cared - but it still stings that I was given a hard time for laziness
But we need our Mary people - and we need our Martha people - after all - if there were no Martha people would there be a banquet? Probably not - but what is a banquet really - it's a time of celebration - we can eat or not
