Re: Sleeping too much
📻📻📻 there, problem solved. Talkback radio is great. And a deterrent to burglars when you go away. Soft radio talk back helps me sleep. And i learn stuff.

Re: Sleeping too much
Ah @Former-Member
I am glad you are rambling - don't stop - you said something really important in there
It's really good that you don't care what people think - or worry about your house, or whether or not your turn up or sleep all over your house - because it really doesn't matter - they don't care -
They are too busy worrying that their house is messy or that they fell asleep on the floor or whatever - terribly worried about something they said at a meeting - awake all night about forgetting to order pet food - esp as the pets never let us forget
[Making a note to ring the vet to order cat food for Friday - cat cares she is on short commons this week]
I know you care that your house is messy - mine is small - but after two weeks of sinusitis it looked as if a tornado had been through here - I was not into tidying up - so my suggestion - tidy up for yourself because you care - don't give a fig about anyone else caring - if I was to visit I would be happy if I had a clean cup and a place to sit - I used to visit a friend who didn't have a clean cup - used to rinse it under the tap and I used to drink my coffee without letting it hit the sides - it was important to visit my friend who was really unwell
Anyway - when it comes to caring I think there is something underneath all of that - as if you are too tired and lonely to care much about anything and wishing someone did care - we all care but I know we are different - and we all need a little escapism - hiding out on this thread - I like that - at least you are telling me that you are feeling at a low ebb -
Your care about yourself and things have got out of hand I think - I care about you - seeing as we both live alone maybe we have a shared sense that the world doesn't care - and pretty much - it doesn't - and that is so depressing
Thinking of you - I have a bunch of stuff downloaded that I can use as emoticons - but I don't think I have one for a blue day - I will look later
Decadian - feeling much the same at times
Sending hugs

Re: Sleeping too much
@Decadian, thank you, you understand. Yesterday i actually did catch up on the dishes. Looks better. Theres still stuff everywhere from this bathroom project which has come to a standstill re garage sale prep which i don't think i'll be ready for in time. But if i knew you were visiting De, i'd be sure to clear a seat for you, maybe even the table, have a clean cup, maybe a biscuit, all to make you comfe while underneath worried I'm under the microscope myself. We're complex creatures. Tell me more about your cat?
I woke at 6am but fell asleep and, well, up late again. Stretching stiffness out of the back before moving. All the years i burned energy pushing myself to perform when if i just waited it would come naturally and i'd feel more at peace. This is the place i have come to. There's nobody and nothing close enough to perform for anymore really, its an interesting place, working out how to perform just for me - finding a way to see myself as worth the performance (me and God of cause). Self care sure is a good starting point.
On that note i better GET UP! take a shower and grab some sustenance, just for me, oh, and the 🐶dog and wildbirds. 🐥🐦🐤🌿🌿☺

ps @Appleblossom, missing you, where you at?

Hi @Former-Member .... 😊
I'm doing okay .....
Went to a river walk ..... ✅
Had a coffee and OJ ..... ✅
Made the dr's apt for D3 for tomorrow ..... ✅
Heard back from TAFE that she can re-sit in early November ..... ❎
That doesn't work for graduation with her peers .... 🙁
And we are booked to go overseas ahead of that time ..... 😳
Okay ..... priorities check ..... ‼️
Travel dates can be changed ..... 🤔
.... and it might be that her graduation is put through whenever the Cert is achieved ....🤔
..... and if that's the case it doesn't matter if the re-sit is deferred till we're back if she's missing the graduation anyway ..... 🤔
Refuse to stress out ... ‼️
It will be what it will be at the end of the day ..... but have hand-balled the email to the school to see what they say ..... 😐
Still swimming ...... 🐠🐠🐠
Waiting to see what happens ..... 🤔😉😳😔

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
just popping in on wifi hot spot ...in middle of Victoria.
I am good ...thanks for asking ... How did your garage sale go ... hope all is well
holidaying with this friend has been lovely & chatty. We can also be quiet & physical as we havie lil walks and go to the pool & spa.
I need to go to a communal lounge with laptop to log on through their hot spot.
Visited brother's MIL who is a good woman ... she actually had nose bleed while we were with her ... and we settled her down ... but the stress of wedding and gathering of the extended family was triggering ...she is not a bleeder normally and never a panic merchant ...very steady ... very inclusive, caring & hospitable .. but blood is blood ... she seems better now. It wasnt from our visit as we were just chatting over cups of tea ,,,
she might be seen to be over-involved in the 3 grandchildren .. but with her daughter with serious brain injuries .. it has been necessary.
Will have a gathering tomorrow with nephew & niece & families at our unit ... so the MIL doesnt need to be involved ... she knows the set-up has been to our country club over the years..will take the toddler out for mini golf etc ...
The really good thing is that .. on this week away .. I have not had a neck event ... (I had 2 last holiday) nor had an emotional agitation event (have not needed to take tranq prn) .. and the potential for triggers were there ... but so far it has been very good and healing.
Love to all my forum friends
and good will to the newcomers.
going to gym now and then for swim and then jump in spa with my girlfriend... who is 76 ...but still that is the quality of our relationship
her daughter scared me senseless re supervision of her meds and bloods and memory etc... but as more of a peer and not family I dont over react ...I have a full schedule to sign off for her ..and masses of meds and 4 injections per day ...but we are taking it in our stride ...my girlfriend is doing really well here .. as I dont micromanage her ...she is loving pottering around doing her own thing too.

Re: Sleeping too much
"All things work for good for those who love the Lord"
At the Dr the other day (who i once worked with), we talked about my girl for the first time, he said, because of her sudden loss to asthma, he said he's much more diligent with his asthmatic patients now, especially young teens. A bit late for my girl but that's some good that has come out of it for many for years to come, might even save someone.
I have a bit of prep to do here for a big day I've committed myself to tomorrow. I got a text msg from a lady at church yesterday asking if i could drive her to Brisbane (200km) for specialised chemo treatment. I couldn't say no and do like to feel needed so this is my project today & tomorrow. They don't know how i struggle but my plight is nothing compared to this 40yo mum of 5 beautiful God filled children whose battled breast cancer for five years. Its something i CAN do, sit and drive. Just have to keep nerves under control (can fake that well), get the car in shape, get a good sleep (somehow), set 4 alarms for a 6am start, plan for a long day, back pain & a quiet day recovering Friday. Thats how it is when i push myself to do what normal people do. My reward will be in heaven. Its rare someone actually asks anything of me so think its the Lord telling me i still have much to offer. Please pray it goes well & I'm a blessing to this poor mum. Do my best.
Gotta go put oil in the car, wash it etc Yay, got something worthwhile to do it for ☺

Re: Sleeping too much
Sounds lovely, holidaying with a lovely chatty yet peaceful friend, going for lil walks and to the gym, pool & spa. Good company & activities can make all the difference in life. You just may come back refreshed and regenerated. Lovely news.
Your brother's MIL does sound stressed by the wedding and gathering of the extended family, poor dear. (this will be @Faith-and-Hope soon, without the nosebleeds i hope lol). Glad shes inclusive, caring & hospitable .. Tell her to eat a lot of celery & watermelon.
Love mini golf, and toddlers, you ARE having fun. Maybe its better company this time or youre in a better place - that your neck & emotional agitation is less, and you even have a sence of healing. Answer to prayer. These are the goid moments that get us through the dark days. Etch them in your memory. So happy for you.
Sounds daunting supervising such a heavy meds routine etc... Good you keep charts, signing off on things too hard to remember, you're a smart cookie, and a good friend to have round it seems. Proud of you.
