Hi @PeppiPatty
Yes - @Former-Member comes up with some good pics - I started a collection of baristerized capuchinos with my last computer - loved them
And my sailing ships - I might try again with the larger of the two photos - Mum told me I had to keep them forever but if I didn't like them they would be wrapped up in the bottom of the cupboard I think
And - trying to think of what I know - I think that those ships - or one of them - had something to do with people immigrating - eg - my grandfather's ancestors may have come here on one of them -
I think that one of them has sand-dunes of the coast in the background - now - how could someone stand in the middle of Bass Strait with his easel and - [hem hem] water colours -
But I think from memory those painting were supposed to be Bass Strait - but I was so young when these prints found their way into my life - and I love them
But I have no desire to go to sea in a sailing ship

Re: Sleeping too much
I am quite proud of how calm & grounded I remained during this recent health scare, heart event, ambulance trip etc. So many triggers - especially of my daughter's last moments. the suicide attempts, life in the balance and feeling so alone. There were a couple of moments when nurses were not around that I broke down with thoughts of how alonevi was in this. Even with hospital staff buzzing about outside my cubicle, I felt alone. Interesting thing with these minor meltdowns, attached to the heart monitor, is noticing how my thoughts affected my body. With the heart monitor beeping in the background it was obvious how getting upset stresses the body and strains the heart. Vital signs peak and the next blood pressure reading is higher. After doing deep breathing and relaxation & calming thoughts those vitals normalised. This was a powerful lesson. Even being next door to the cubicle where my girl died and around staff who once pumped my stomach. This time I didn't dissociate, run off, say or do anything stupid bpd'sh. Actually, considering the many triggers, and even though nobody in the world noticed, I'm quietly proud of myself, how I managed it all this time. Allowing myself a pat on the back.
Just sharing.
Theres lovely gentle rain on my tin roof, doggy keeping my toes warm and a hot cup of tea in hand - all is well.

Wow @Former-Member ..... that's AWESOME .... ❣
Look how much you have GROWN .... ❣
❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️❣
Huge pat on the back from over here ....
I have mentioned before that I have had melanoma. It was caught early, but still, there is annual monitoring for the first five years quite specifically, at which point your expected survival rate jumps much higher .... don't remember the percentages .... they weren't relevant to my situation ....
I know you're somewhere around the five year mark re your J .... and I suspect it's not just a time marker for cancer survival .... it sounds like it's a general recovery period from severe trauma if you have worked hard to get back on top .... and you have Tawney-girl .... you have .... ❣
I know there have been stages of grief in letting go of my mother .... and I felt I turned a corner around the five year mark .... and again at the ten year mark .... and yet again here at the 15 year mark ....
Walk tall @Former-Member .... so proud of you ❣
And I love the sound of your tin roof in the gentle rain ..... ❤️🌹
