Re: Sleeping too much
Haven't heard the HealthDirect service before but checked the website & downloaded the app. Qld has a similar service called 13HEALTH, but they er on the side of caution nearly always telling me to see a Dr. I hate fuss & depending on other people.
There's no on call dr in my small town here, There is a bus into our regional centre in the mornings but not w'ends.
Don't worry, I will call ambo if I can't stand up. Figure if I don't have pain or breathless then its not urgent. Just worry I'll pass out. I've had all the full cardiac workup two years ago. They don't know what this fainty thingbis, what's wrong. Tend to put it down to anxiety or MI it seems which I find embarrassing and unhelpful, especially alone.

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member sorry you are experiencing this right now. I can imagine it would be quite scary being on your own. It must make it more difficult being a bit isolated from services as well. I'm really glad you took it easy today as it might have been worse if you didn't. Sending healing vibes @Former-Member and hoping you get through until you can see the doctor. Please ring an ambulance if you need to. 💜💜💜💐💐💐

Re: Sleeping too much
❤️💕 ... @Former-Member .... thinking of you .... keep taking care of yourself Hun ...
Can you work out a logging system with those meds ? Sounds like you're not taking them sometimes cos you can't remember whether you have or not ... and now there might have been a double-up ....
When I have had to manage several baby dragons on different med schedules - for short time spans mind you - I used to chart them. There might be something ready-made for that now ...
I've missed you today .... keep chatting with us here so we know you're okay .... but make sure you yell out if you're not ....
❤️🌷💕❤️🌷💕

Re: Sleeping too much
..pretty much what I wanted to say @Former-Member @Former-Member ..I didn't want to pre empt the ambulance ride thinking or the ride tho .. been there .. once.. unbelievable back spasms, could not got off bed, had to work out a way how to do it, got up and loaded up on painkillers but had to give in and call ambulance, still, father spent over a day on floor crawling to phone last year, I block that stuff out, just can't deal with the idea of that

Re: Sleeping too much
I'm concerned @Former-Member
I think where you are living you don't have access to the National Home Doctor - this would be a real concern for me
But heart irregularities are not something to make light of - I can hear your concern - in not having anyone to come and help you out at such a time - even if it is just to have someone help you make up your mind
I have a Mepacs alarm system - I have mentioned this in the past - I have used this twice - and the Mepacs people help out - this is a very great idea for someone who doesn't have someone around to help out
Actually the paramedics do not mind coming just to check you out - I have fallen a few times and I have needed them to get me up off the floor - once I could have died at home with a blood clot in my lung - this was before I had the Mepacs alarm - and when I was in hospital they told me that people who live alone can sometimes die because there is no one to tell them how sick they are
So I understand - you are in a very vulnerable position
Can you ring Nurse on Call and talk to someone on the phone - I am sure I have that number somewhere - it can be so scary when as you say - you don't feel sick enough to call an ambulance but feel too ill to drive or walk -
I hope you can get help with this - you must feel so alone to have this happen
I am thinking of you
Decadian
