Hi @Former-Member
It's important that if kids want to stop school that they get into the habit of going somewhere everyday and learning to either work or continue their education - easier said that done I know
My dd told me later than when she decided to give up her HCS I said that was fine but she was not going to lie around the house all day but needed to get a job - and she got an apprenticeship and did well and is highly qualified - she just needed to be in the right stream I guess.
But before all this great future I was told what a horrible mother I was - ah - I can accept that - it seems nearly every mother I know has had that one from time to time - why not me?
About the piano and earphones - yes - it could be that there are families with a lot of noise happening at once - I was studying at home when dd wanted to listen to Heavy Metal and I like it quiet when I study - but now I am alone - I can play the piano when I feel like it - and yes - with my old upright piano that was far past it's best-by date and flat and missing a note - well - there were no earphones for that piano but dd must have hated that - but she could still play her music when I was playing the piano
Maybe other people suffered - ear-phones did not exist when I was a teenager - in fact - teenagers were only just being discovered when I was that age - oh horrors - "Mum - what does adolscence mean?"
"I don't know"
We all grow up in different generations - and I remember in my early life my mother or grandmother would play the piano after I had gone to bed - and I liked that - I could even tell which one was playing
Our sense of personal space changes

Re: Sleeping too much
I think depending on schools too, they all differ.
I guess I liked Steiner because it looked at the individual as opposed to the follow the herd mentality. Hmm tricky one, I see both sides of the coin! But mostly I'd attune my ear, hear what he is saying..your the gatekeepers keeper to know 😊

Re: Sleeping too much
Hello
I'm slow today, still recovering from Monday.
@Former-Member Oh my gosh! You are working hard. Make sure you rest inbetween. Sounds like you're getting alot done, good on you.
We have so much renovating to do here. Started pulling apart the bathroom when I was feeling ok, that was months ago. Nothing else has happened in there. Tiles in kitchen are breaking, coming loose. I can't wait to feel well enough to get it all fixed. I was on a medication for a few months (not anti depressant) and I felt great for a few months. Thought "WOW!", now I can do things. Then the meds did the opposite, how strange. They made me feel worse than ever, heart palpatations like never before etc. Became scary, so had to stop. So back to surviving without meds.
The real me, is a "go" person. So I'm finding it very frustrating not getting things done.
Anyway, I tend to rave on sometimes, haha! ![]()
I just looked at the time, I better get things done. ![]()
@Decadian When I was young, my cat used to play the piano every morning, it was so cute. And crawl under my blankets on the cold mornings. Lovely memories. ![]()
