@Anony18 Well .... my gosh... I don't even know where to begin, my brain is scambled. This is the part of my "story" I have not addressed, even in myself, obviously. And my core reaction to it is very surprising. Yes... I believe you have inadvertently handed me my next lot of Russian Dolls. That is.... dealing with the :pile_of_poo: trying to help my antagonist caused, his inability to discuss any problems and his unwillingness to change despite his countless promises to do so. That all along with his self denial and total disregqrd for anything or anyone but himself.
OK... .that's NOT you.. not saying it is, not for a moment.... I sure hope you don't have that.. but I think it was the kind of "tip toeing" effect of your post, the catering to him. Your thoughtfulness for his reactions and assessment of what you should or shouldn't do because of those, that brought up my old experiences.
One thing I can identify one on one with you on is that "limbo". That not knowing wth is going on and wondering what is or isn't happening and what is or isn't going to happen. That is when the brain just won't switch off and we get no peace at all because of the possibilities and unknowns running through our head. One way or another, you need to find out because that unknown is really not a good state to be in.
Well I don't think it is anyhow, so I hope you have managed to alleviate that by now, if not, post here because you if you aren't talking to anyone about it right now that's just not a good thing.
*steps down from soap box and takes sip of hot chockie, wiping cream from her upper lip* yum.. that's a good hot chockie right there.
