Think Anony had a tennis game on this afternoon, even tho the weather is :pile_of_poo: today over our way (she's a fellow Westernite ....) She's usually on here early morning or late night .... so prob see her later on.
WH is behaving in that he walked dutifully this morning .... could tell cos I called him and you can't hear properly when he's jogging .....
Then he came home and fried up a big brekkie for the kids (sans vegies, unless you count commercial corn fritters) .... all the foods he would like to eat but can't touch with a barge pole, according to his ed .... so he tries to feed it to the kids and me instead .....
It's his comfort food (c/s foods) so he's actually trying to gift us ..... cope with the stress he is feeling at being told to stop all jogging and weights ..... and he will be very anxious about the specialist appointment on Mondya. Might be told that he can't fly next month ....
All the gift-feeding is a bit messed up but good intent .... and we all read it that way. I added some vegies on to the brekkie table, and the kids took some ..... ✅ Wholemeal bread and fruit helps to dilute the "b**g*" foods too .... Just have to stay aware, but also show him that we can eat these foods in moderation .... it's not all or nothing .....
Same, every time we have family movies he showers them with big bags of chips, and buys biscuits, cakes, etc ..... have to keep a bit of a handle on it, but with this feast / famine mentality in the whole extended family I have raised the kids to read it, and be careful ..... otherwise we will all be in BED territory.
Sorry .... long-winded answer, but I hope it's interesting for people who haven't seen this sort of thing. It's ed territory. We live in it and have to learn to manage it, change it in this generation of the family.
