One time the psych phoned him to tell him I was being admitted.... I plan on that approach, might backfire but I'm too chicken to explain how I feel....

Hey @Angels333 sorry to hear you're having such a tough time right now. It sounds like you're taking some steps towards getting support, which I'm glad about to be sure. I know there are other aspects and that this is also impactful within your relationship, but at the end of the day your safety and wellbeing are what's important.
Here with you along the way ![]()

I'm not sure if this is an open thread to discuss battles with self harm? So hopes it's ok to post here. I struggled with self harm many years ago, it was almost an addiction, the release I felt afterwards. And here I am again, finding it to be a constant battle. I've shared this with health professionals in recent months and they all try to help me with all the usual distractions... ice, rubber band, getting up actually doing something, call a helpline. I just don't find any of them helpful. Today the mental health nurse spoke about taking some prn medication, I think that maybe the pdoc from PHN recently said it also, but because it took ages for the report to get to my gp (she prescribes medication as suggested by the pdoc via zoom appointments), and the fact that my gp writes on scripts for me to be only allowed a weeks worth of medication at a time, I'm not even sure it would be possible to have prn medication.
I guess sometimes... often, it's inevitable that it's going to happen. I need to do it. I want to do it. Maybe I just know that nothing else will help. Nothing else will give me what it does.
I'm there tonight.
