Learning to live (and be myself) again

Learning to live (and be myself) again

I've been through some major highs and lows since i recieved my diagnosis. And by highs and lows i mean stages of good and bad health. Stages of working and unemployment. Bouts of depression and anxiety on a daily basis....I've had all sorts of stuff going on basically.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@Appleblossom yea we've all been dealt our hand of cards. We all have our problems to deal with . The only reason i have support is because i go out looking for it ... and in the process end up supporting others ... or end up supporting organisations ...

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

hello @eudemonism

I have read back through the last few days posts..

You have had some sound responses..

at the end of the day...the forums do not cure us...

the forums on their own do not change our life circumstances...lifestyle..

they do provide a listening ear..

they do confirm that all of us on the forums suffer with different symptoms..similar symptoms..

yes they can weigh you down at certain times when life becomes overwhelming or the dreaded depression takes control..

the decision to leave the forums altogether is a strong decision that you might regret later...you might not..

as others have suggested...time out from here for however long you need...there is no right or wrong timing..

time out can give you some space to ground yourself perhaps..

reunite with nature and your pets...who are a huge part of your family...

time out is not such a drastic move to take..

then you have the option of coming back intermittently as I do myself...or coming back for a short span of time and then having another break..

or if you sincerely feel that your time on here can no longer help you...

make your decision with a different state of mind..

You will definitely be missed by me Eude..

You have been a constant for me since you joined..

getting to know you has been so helpful and supportive for me...

This is about you though..

perhaps be kind to Eude....take a break...

then make your decision with a fresher...more rested mind...

time out for self care is very important...

Eude 💛💚💙💜🧡

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

how wonderful @Bunniekins that you have someone to walk with so early in the morning..

I used to do that when I lived near the city..

I love that morning silence apart from nature...

people are also more prone to smile and say hello back in response...which is a feeling grounded moment in itself..

medications are ************* a necessary fact at times..

accepting that can be part of our healing journey...is the case for me...as I have been very stubborn in the past...what a surprise..

yes love the cow comment...I too always think of you when I pass them in the car..sometimes pulling over safely ...

I haven't seen any green cows yet though dear pea.

I do still have some of those photos on my computer so will try to find one to share with you.along with anyone else here..

Moo Moo

I do miss my chats with them when they would all huddle in closer.

@Sophia1 I've been wondering where you were and what you've been up to.

Yea I'll think about deactivating my membership some more and make a final decision at some stage. The forums get a bit clique if you ask me.

I've just been doing my usual thing. Nothing out of the ordinary or exciting happens in my life ... just dealing with the monotony of side effects and comorbidity problems of side effects ... it keeps me going 24/7

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@eudemonism Hey, good afternoon. Hope your day is okay. Sorry to hear you are thinking of leaving. Life is hard with MI. We are often not feeling well, sometimes due to meds side effects. It’s a constant battle to survive and get through. Hope you may find other supports if you do decide to leave the forum. You will be missed. Take care.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

Hello @eudemonism

I have been away on and off..I find having a break from here works for me..

a lot happening externally...

Then I feel that I need to check on those who have become important to me in this unusual form of life..

futuristic...

forums still allow feelings though...so that is why I come back..

you are one who is important to me..

at the same time I respect everything that you have said..

if you sincerely feel that for some time now you are not feeling supported or your needs now are not being met by this type of interraction...time for a decision perhaps...a break might work..might not

again does not have to be a complete finality...

most important though is you have to do what works for you...some people cannot do things gradually they need to make a clean break...

you can always come back later if you choose to deactivate your account straight away..

or you might find another site..

I know that if we are open to change...new beginnings...something happens...not what we expect...but change comes in whatever shape, form, size, or style ...it comes...

thank you for everything...for being my friend....for being so honest...for your wonderful dry sense of humour...

for being you Eude...

I will miss you if you decide to leave...at the same time I will tell myself that this is your choice and you are listening to your inner voice...

so I am supporting you in whatever decision you make....

whatever journey you take....there will always be a place for you in my heart...

take care..

believe in Eude...

be true to yourself...

hug cat and dog....(but not snake)... please....

big hug for you..

hope to hear from you somewhere at sometime in some form via some way...

new paths can be found if we just open our eyes and look at life differently..

💛💚💜

ps apologies for writing so much
