Learning to live (and be myself) again

Learning to live (and be myself) again

I've been through some major highs and lows since i recieved my diagnosis. And by highs and lows i mean stages of good and bad health. Stages of working and unemployment. Bouts of depression and anxiety on a daily basis....I've had all sorts of stuff going on basically.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@eudemonism Hey hope you are having an okay day. It’s very hard to live with MI. We all struggle day to day. Sometimes, we can get some comfort, some support. It’s also good to help others. Hope you get better with time. I think with your case, it probably will. Take care.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@Sophia1 it might of just been a past thought that i needed to openly express. Life has changed compared to what it once was for me. Especially my attitude and perception on everything . Still the same world and problems around me though (if anything it's/ they're getting worse)

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@eudemonism Hey, I read a few articles re our MI. Quite a lot of them got much better in their late forties. So that may be something to look forward to rather than dread. Hope we get there supporting each other.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@Meowmy you gotta consider that alot of cases which are publicised are hand picked success stories . Alot of people with mi never recover and never get any better. And spend their lives suffering from terrible side effects and comorbidity problems.

@eudemonism it's good to have hope. May be the treatments will get better. Less side effects and better results. We have come a long way as humans in health treatmenta.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@Meowmy i don't have much hope for any positive changes for myself. Why? I've done all i can from my end ... and what i need can only come from an external source ... I'm having a rest now. Good bye. Speak later .

Once upon a time i thought the light at the end of the tunnel was a yearly half an hour appointment with the pyschistrist . I'm glad I'm no longer in denial . I'm glad i now know that the truth is my light.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

That is very beautifully said @eudemonism and it sounds like you have been making progress in terms of (re)discovering some core values. It’s all important to learning to live with and within our circumstances, and acceptance goes a long way towards that, while also allowing for growth to occur. So we’ll done, and thank you for sharing your journey with us .... it helps us as well.

I am am hoping to go and find an art gallery today that I have been wanting to visit for some time, but it involves a public transport adventure.
