Learning to live (and be myself) again

Learning to live (and be myself) again

I've been through some major highs and lows since i recieved my diagnosis. And by highs and lows i mean stages of good and bad health. Stages of working and unemployment. Bouts of depression and anxiety on a daily basis....I've had all sorts of stuff going on basically.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

Is there anything else you could do, like listen to a podcast, tv, colouring in, walks, gardening? I don't know you very well @eudemonism, so I'm not sure what to suggest.

I'm here, listening. Even if I can't offer much help 🌻

@Molliex thanks for replying. I love working on and achieving goals . But struggle to see the point in everything and struggle to get motivated somedays . I've always got a thought about a goal i could achieve . But often it's flooded over by negative thoughts . So yea . I often gotta rally myself together and focus in on the problems and solutions and get stuck into my objective . Rather then get stuck in rut.

It sounds like you have a good idea of what to do @eudemonism . I hope you find the motivation.

I am cheering you on.

Thanks @Molliex yea i get feelings of lonliness and rejection sometimes . But i suppose it's all apart of choosing to step back and be alone .

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

hello @eudemonism

sorry that I have not been on here for awhile..

I have been struggling ..

We have had more bad news in relation to friends with return of cancer and terminal diagnoses..

I am finally over the virus but husband still not 100%..

Build is moving along and has kept us busy...

I understand about lack of motivation with me it is when depression takes over..

Side effects of medications can also zap energy.. following with no motivation ..

You have talked about this before ..part of a cycle that you go through...

you have managed very well Eude with this constant cycle of events..

Have you noticed a pattern of what helps?

I hope that you find some relief soon..

increase in medication has helped me for now..

Feelings of rejection are painful..

Perhaps whoever it is you feel is doing this, is going through their own issues and not intentionally meaning to disclude or reject you.

I can remember feeling rejected when I was younger, as I am a very sensitive person..I think now that I thought that everyone felt like I did...I didn't seem to be aware that some people in this world are just not nice people...

even the last time I was in hospital..my therapist told me that just because someone has a mental illness does not make them a nice person..

That floored me!!

If you are being yourself Eude and they are disrespecting you...you do not need them in your world...you are better off without them..

Hello @Bunniekins

Thank you for your kind messages as always...I hope that life has lessened in intensity for you...

@Molliex I am not sure if we have spoken before or not...Hello and yes stepping back does bring with it aloneness...

As long as we can differentiate between making our own space and isolating aloneness is healthy..

I need to keep on working at keeping isolating at bay... at the moment life is busy which is very helpful even though I am very weary.

Big hug for you all and thoughts of calmness and gentle breezes..

take care

Sophia ☺😴😊

@Sophia1 yea just gotta bring everything back to your choices as best you can . Like we all do . And be as well informed about everything as best as possible. Plus have a good attitude toward your self others and life. Because nobody knows what just around the corner or what the future holds . That's life for ya.
