The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Yeah rolling down the hill lol @utopia 😸 Sounds a bit odd re memorial fire alarm :police_car_light: would think that would be something you wouldn't want to hear in summer

Re: The Beer Garden

@TAB. Wasn't a memorial alarm. Was a fire at a church. But am a bit touchy as today is the anniversary of terrible bush fires in Victoria 6 years ago. Just a bit sensitive to the fire alarm going off on certain days.

Hey you guys. I felt a bit uncomfortable with some of the stuff on Hot chocolate because it should really be on this side rather than the carers side. I set about finding a similar alternate thread on the Lived Experience side and came across this Beer Garden.

I notice it hasn't been used for a while and was wondering if there is a reason for that? Was thinking if we used this instead and we encroach into lived experience stuff, it might be more appropriate on this side.

I checked with the barman and he said they have a good selection of juices, non alcoholic beverages, and a cafe barn so everyone should be catered for 😛

@Anony18and @Former-Member I linked to you even though you both seem to be more active in the Carer section. But you were in our discussions yesterday so I didn't want to leave you out. Sorry if that overstepped the mark.

Re: The Beer Garden

@Kurra I found a youtube Investigation Australia on Graham Thorne story. Ray Martin sounded a bit chipmunky and the screen was too smallish, the whole things was actually mirrored. LIke newspaper clippings were backwards.. so I have no idea what the person who uploaded did. But anyhow none of that really mattered because the story was quite fascinating.

It was totally remarkable that the Aussie investigators actually used so much forensic acumen so long before forensics became official. The carpet, the hair, the fibres, the pekinese and of course the botanic evidence. What a brilliant investigation it was and in a time when only men were allowed in the higher gallery. OK that one made me do a double take... that really dates it. 😛

Hi there @Former-Member. Yes this is a good thread to resurrect I think.

Although its too early to serve from the bar, I see they do have a coffee shop attached.

Soo .... I am going to order a big pot of fresh English Breakfast tea. Care to join me?

Then I will just sit in a quiet corner and observe proceedings.

Sherry xx

@Former-Member yes my dear.. would love to... all sounds so very civilised. A morning cuppa in the beer garden with Miss Sherry... oh Sherry... now that's a name for a beer garden.. ok maybe more a wine but hey.. still suits.

So my little petal, how are you today?

Re: The Beer Garden

Oh great, thanks @Former-Member. Very glad to have your company. Had a lousy night actually, and glad its now light and I can be up and about again.

Yes some of that fruit you are tempting me with sounds fantastic. I will just have a pick at the cherries and strawberries I think, as I am not really feeling too much like food. Just lots of tea mainly.

But your company is much appreciated.

Sherry yes, it is actually the name my Mum had intended calling me when I was born. Except the nurse caused her to change her mind when she said "sweet or dry"? So I was given a much different name.

Did you watch the Test cricket from India last night by any chance? I watched some of it.
