The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Thanks for all the messages. I slept so well last night. It's quite a luxury!
I've got grass to mow, paddock weeds to poison, house to give a lick and a promise and then I'm going to take myself for a winder wander to wherever takes my fancy!
Have a good one Peeps 💕🎶

Good morning @Faith-and-Hope,
After 10min rest on couch, post breaky, ready to get going now.
Got shoulder aches...takes time to warm up!

Re: The Beer Garden

Good morning @Faith-and-Hope. Busy weekend. Street parade starts in 1/2 an hour and then lots of silly games for young and old. Right down to electric scooter race. Lol.
Tomorrow a special market and more entertainment for the kids.
My boy at 14 thinks it's 'daggy' - but he'll still spend my money and hang out with his friends and have fun. He just won't admit to me that he's having fun.
5 year old niece is more excited.
I hope you have some nice plans for this weekend.

Re: The Beer Garden

Still a tad early for my coffee yet @Former-Member .... but I'm thinking about getting up and dressed and going for my long walk this morning cos there's nothing stopping me .... all week there have been other commitments flying around .... so it's bee short ones .... but I have also been taking a rest over my coffee cos I feel I need to .... just sitting a bit and watching the world go by .... and staring my walk afterwards. ☕️💕

Not an option, I know, when you've got littlies on the go .... or teens who need chauffeuring .... but I am so over dropping everything and running at top speed to pick up everybody else's dropped balls or lack of organisation .... they're all big enough to look after themselves now 😄

WH - different story. This condition comes with control issues and all sorts of other :pile_of_poo: .... but we will get there .... allowing it to go "underground" brought more stability for the moment, and the freedom that comes with disengaging a bit .... love him dearly of course, but he sort of has patient status with us at the moment .... self-protection for us, cushioning for him.

I know he was up at his usual time this morning, but walking the same tracks, especially if power-walking is out of the question (hopefully he will comply with that part) will take him twice as long .... and then there's the gym sesh to compensate for .... but even if he does walk all day today and tomorrow, just dropping the intensity of his exercising will allow a re-feeding of his brain to start happening ....

Bit daunting, but also a bit exciting .... might be the start to getting the real him back .... ❣

Just checked the side gate .... dog has been put away ... that means WH has headed off ....

🎪 How did the school fair go ? Kids enjoy it all ? Do things slow down at all for you on the weekends ?

🌷💕

Looove the sound of the electric scooter race @utopia ..... 😍😜😆❣

Yeah ... a 14 year old lad has gotta be "too cool for school" ..... but he will know that you know that it's really all a bluff ... 😄

Does your niece hang out with you there ? Best excuse to go on all the gentle rides n stuff ! I still get to shop all the cool little kids gear for birthdays and things for my younger nieces and nephews .... not a grandma yet .... ❣ .... but I'll be up for the scooter race when I am .... lol ....

Enjoy your day ....

🎪💕

Re: The Beer Garden

HI @Kurra

That sounds for a good plan for a Saturday - such a good idea to plan for a wander and see where your feet take you - I have not done that for such a long time

@Faith-and-Hope - talk about the walking a fine-line - it's marvellous how you do that.

I used to run for the endorphins - the emotional pain and anxiety in my life were eased by running - but there are different reasons - does WH exercise and run and power-walk the way he does to get the endorphins?

I hope he doesn't go to extremes with hie "gentle walks" and that you all survive until he sees the specialist. How is his vision today?

Hard yards - thinking of you a lot

Thinking of you @Faith-and-Hope. Oh I remember dropping everything to pick up or take the kids everywhere.
