The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

It's awful having to move when young @TAB
Same happened to me. Moved countries. Came back here, did not want to come back to Australia. It's a great country, but have never felt at home here.

Parents did what they thought was best for us. They have regrets too. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Make the best of it and so on. 😀

Re: The Beer Garden

I mean, you didn't want to move from farm to town. @TAB 😊

Yes, hard for parents. We are spoilt now.
Parents moved here, couldn't speak English.
Had to start with nothing. They did well, but it would have been tough.

Anyway. Night night to you and everyone. Looks like everyone is sleeping already. 😀😴

Re: The Beer Garden

ah ..der ..soz @Former-Member yes, correct .. been told there was a version of centrelink around in 60s although it wasnt widely used as there was negative unemployment ..God knows what mum was brought up on, her father died not long after third child was born in 30s, well, they had a house, and her mother did piano lessons, think whole family lived on loaf of fried bread a week and Sunday roast that must have fallen from Heaven ..if listen to mums stories yet looked fit and well ..grandma must have been a very good piano teacher lol

Re: The Beer Garden

No digs at me in that language of yours @TAB.
Morning too. 😊
You know me, that comes second!
I still like the sound of your mum, what a resourceful, beautiful lady.
She's probably a sweet old lady now.
