The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

@Faith-and-Hope. My son is off with his mates. Having a good time. Enjoying himself. My neice and her mum spent more time with her friends and their parents. Understandable. And I'm realky glad to see my best friend making new friends with other mums of young kids.
I'm going to go for a drive now and head up to our highest mountain and lookout and just sit there and breathe some fresh air. And take time out to reflect.
Shopping for the young ones is exciting. Just bought my neice butterfly clips and pink ribbons for her hair. Must be pink!

Re: The Beer Garden

Ok, I've been waiting to have time to reply F+H.
Firstly, much admiration for you, it's so challenging, & yes totally understandable a few quite moments at coffee shop would be much needed, with added bonus of adrenaline boosting walks. Perfect :ok_hand:❤
I hope this health worry does cause WH to think more seriously about his health, and the impacts this is having on the rest of his family.
I understand he has not been able to view it this way.
Eating disorders are a very delicate thing to approach as so much denial is at play, along with other self defeating voices.

Today my partner has a bux party, so just me & the boy's.
We are not long home from a walk on beach, supermarket, post office etc..most grating experience of my life!!
My eldest really got to me with his whingeing. He only does it with me, & today I felt so annoyed by it.
The psychologist we met once, basically was too old, maybe too busy, not experienced with DV and it's implications after separating, that she was quite glad to Palm us off to another psychologist.
I made the call, when I could hear the lack of confidence in her voice.
This woman works at a school with children. Really. I'm quite abhorred.
But I am tired, so maybe little things become bigger.
I try take weekends slower, not always so simple with a new partner, life etc.
But I give it all my best shot!
I stayed at the fair for a couple of hours but S2 was tired, exhausted, so we left earlier, and my eldest stayed with his friend.
I'm glad in the sense it's one commitment down, few more to go!
Horrible when life becomes that way, but with kids in the mix, I'm always having to keep going.
I really hope your walking is extra beautiful today. You well deserve it.😘❤

Re: The Beer Garden

Thanks @Former-Member ..... still just doing all I know how to do to try to keep all of us as healthy as we can in this unhealthy situation .... really appreciate the moral support. I know WH will
later on too ..... just reading survivor stories ....

You're in one of those bittersweet phases with your kids where you are caught between wanting to savour their childhood, but also fast-forward through the most trying aspects of it .... and there's little relief while they're still so young .....

I developed cycles to our day .... amped them up for the morning activities .... then calme everything down to an R&R time after lunch every day ..... then another amp-up for the afternoon ..... quiet again with bedtime routines in the evening .....

I needed it as much as they did.

💗💕

😂..most definitely true @Faith-and-Hope..such is life too..cycles!
Mixed in between balancing temperament etc...
I did find Steiner study on temperament years ago interesting. Might have to revisit!
I'm pretty sure I've got the choleric, phlegmatic + sanguine at play..I'm probably learnt balance of all..but in true light sanguine, melancholic!!
I like that they link to color for me...
Yes, I try dig up books!!
