My fitness journey

My fitness journey

The journey has begun. Today I joined a gym and bought some clothes to train in. I want to slim down and prevent the risk of type 2 diabetes. I thought I’d start a thread for my journey and start posting about the journey. Hopefully it will see an improvement in my mental health too due to all those feel good chemicals.

So, this is Day 1... I’m nervous but excited at the same time.

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey

Lol I know exactly what you mean @TAB

and also the "oh one little chocolate bar won't hurt" but I have that 'one' chocolate bar every day..............................

or the "I will start eating healthy tomorroe, just have this chocolate today" way of thinking. All that does not help the cause at all!!!!!

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey

yeah just not accountable here, and one little choc and little bag crisps becomes 2 then stages of doing that every time go to shops then oh gee may as well get big bag like used to occassionaly 20 years ago, then friend who did low carb (and it worked) and got me hooked on bacon ..like seriously ..a funny one from years ago was oh havent had a pie in ages, so had one, next day was burger, day after pizza eg, then finally dawned on me was doing junkfood crop rotation, somehow justifying an increase in eating it not a decrease lol @Scarecrowe

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey

lol @TAB

sounds exactly like me, junk food crop rotation.

And you get home, can't be bothered cooking, so get a pizza nice and easy.

then a few days later ca't be bothered cooking, get a burger and chips.

Fast food is a killer when trying to lose weight.

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey

lol like me @TAB sitting here watching the cricket thinking how great would some of that toblerone in the fridge be right now.

Thankfully I never drink coke at all. My father would not let us have coke ever. Way too unhealthy, full of sugar he would say. I used to drink a lot of other fizzy drinks back in the day, but I rarely have any now. If I need something with bubbles in it (as I do at times) I now drink fizzy water.
