My fitness journey

My fitness journey

The journey has begun. Today I joined a gym and bought some clothes to train in. I want to slim down and prevent the risk of type 2 diabetes. I thought I’d start a thread for my journey and start posting about the journey. Hopefully it will see an improvement in my mental health too due to all those feel good chemicals.

So, this is Day 1... I’m nervous but excited at the same time.

Hiya @Bunniekins

Well I don't drive so I walk to work and back, it takes about 20mins. Been drinking water heaps (and going to the toilet heaps which is annoying lol), steamed vegies are the go for tea. No junk food at all. A friend wanted to shout me a pastry or two before we went to the pictures but I said thanks but no thanks, no sweet things for me. I have been very good (so far). Hoping it continues........not easy but I am determined.

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey

Thank you so very much @TAB for your support. I really appreciate it.

you are totally right, until you get into a routine it is hard to change habits.

My stomach keeps telling me "I want chocolate!!!" but my mind keeps saying "No, no and no chocolate allowed!!!!".

How have you been since New Year?

Been a bit off tbh @Scarecrowe just resting today trying to increase exercise had no idea how many semi regular things had become 'never ' or not in years things . I have hope lol just trying to ramp up good things like veg and exercise and decrease frequency of junk food and sloth lol for nap lol

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey

Sorry to hear that @TAB

Good for you though for getting back to ramping up the good things like the vegies and excercise. It is not easy I know, but you are giving it a go which is half the battle.

I wish you every success in your endeavours
