My fitness journey

My fitness journey

The journey has begun. Today I joined a gym and bought some clothes to train in. I want to slim down and prevent the risk of type 2 diabetes. I thought I’d start a thread for my journey and start posting about the journey. Hopefully it will see an improvement in my mental health too due to all those feel good chemicals.

So, this is Day 1... I’m nervous but excited at the same time.

Hi @Bunniekins @Ant7 @TAB

my fitness journey is very slow. I've hurt my back and hip. Sciatica snd bursitis on hip. It hurts to walk more than 15 mins. It's doing my head in. Literally!!! I'm getting frustrated because I want to do more but Csnt.
I'm so overweight Thsnks to meds and menopause oh and my eating disorder of excessive emotional eating.
Next year I'm starting a one on one exercise program with an exercise physiologist. My dietitian has organised this through local community hospital. It's great as it's only $6 fir an hour. I'm very lucky.

Good luck everyone in your fitness journey.

@Ant7 you're so fit it's hard to imagine that you would be morbidly obese.

@BlueBay It's true but I think at my age it's hard to lose weight. I have a friend who is even fitter than I am and also bigger he cannot lose weight either 🤷‍♂️

I do believe you @Ant7

it sucks as we get older it's harder to lose the weight.
all we can do is keep going and try ❤️

Re: Re@: My f@itness journey

Hi @Bunniekins , it's moving along slowly. Restless night sleeping, woke up and room stank of smoke. I don't really feel like being at work today. Have a good day GP 🙂
