having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Re: having a bad morning

I think getting back to nature is a great way to keep anxiety down. I love the garden and watching the native birds (we have lots of natives to encourage them in). On the weekend when I was at my worst I made myself go out and do some work in the garden on Saturday and got myself very tired and worked off most of the anxiety.

For me sitting back in my back yard having a BBQ with my partner and dog is the best medicine! I think nature grounds you and makes you realise what actually is important at the time.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: having a bad morning

Hello @Faith-and-Hope

I am ok now xx

Thanks for the hugs

I had to get my head around that we were not getting any jobs done today

once I got the idea that we were having a unexpected day off and rearranging our jobs for another day and ringing up our customers which were very understanding

Then I ended up getting some jobs done at home which needed to get done

How are you today after your big and wonderful weekend xx

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @Shaz51. I've been trying to keep myself busy to distract myself. Now tired and the urge to drink is getting stronger - so I'm going to have a sleep now.
Hopefully we can talk later tonight - when I'm feeling a bit more in control.

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @Shaz51

How are you getting along?

I have had birds in my rear courtyard - which is very small - and used to be full of vines - but the Ministry of Housing insisted they be cut down and there were baby birds nesting there - and they were ring-necked doves and protected so the men who came and cut the vines back had to leave that bit until later

So these baby ring-necked doves goes used to me and when the parent birds were teaching them to fly I got to pick the babies up and put them back in the nest - and this was amazing

Then when they were fully fledged they would sometimes follow me down the drive - with the parent birds watching - this was really special -

And before that one very wet and bleak spring I had a blackbirds' nest outside my bathroom window in a vine - and they got very cramped in there - when they came out of the nest they were so big I have no idea how crowded it must have been - but those babies never came back - it's a hard world for baby birds when there are so many cats around

I hope you and your husband are battling okay @Shaz51 - I know you both have health problems and life can't be easy
