having a bad morning

having a bad morning

I am feeling that my life at the moment is crap. I am so depressed and find that more so in the mornings. I hate myself so much, the way I feel, the way I act and behave. I know people will say to me 'oh just get over it' or 'you're not trying hard enough' - well to those people who say that: Do you have a mental illness; do you know what it's like to have depression and feel so dark that you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel; do you self harm to get rid of your emotions and to feel the pain; or do you think about suicide because it's all too much and you can't handle the pain anymore - NO. So don't tell me to just 'move on' or 'stop being too sensitive'.

I am not having a good morning this morning; tears are flowing as i am typing. And I have to get ready for work; damn work. Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living and why?

I really don't know how i am going go today at work; I feel so depressed. 😞

Re: having a bad morning

Thank you so much @Former-Member for being here. I have this horrible feeling that something bad is going to happen to mother in law. I know she is very fragile so I don't know if she will recover from this. This fall and fractures have really set off her dementia. It's not her anymore; this is the sad bit - trying to accept this.

I feel really sorry for my hubby as he is the only child, he has no family. His dad passed away 20 yrs ago from a massive heart attack at home (when I was 9 months pregnant). She then lived with us and has up until 6 months ago.

I guess MIL has been a part of our lives and our children's lives as well.

Re: having a bad morning

Hey @BlueBay, I am so sorry you are going through such a tough life experience. Having your frail Mother in law hurting and losing touch with everyone she loves and who love her. A very tough time of life for her, your husband and you. ALl strenght to you, tears are a good thing, even though they feel 'out of control' they wash us, they are there for a purpose to help release everything pent up inside.

I am glad you havean easy tea planned and hope just doing normal everyday things like preparing the meal, sitting down to eat will help centre you again.

Lots of good wishes and caring thoughts. 💜

Of course @BlueBay. I think when someone is deteriorating physically is one thing.. mentally with something like dementia it's like a whole other kind of grief and loss. It sounds like it will be a tough time for you all over the coming weeks. Please make sure you are taking good care of yourself @BlueBay. Self-care in times like this is so important.

Re: having a bad morning

@BlueBay. It's okay to cry. Visiting your MIL would make any of us cry. Cry it out for your MIL.
Just thinking about a little comic post I saw recently.
Charlie Brown says, "Do you know, Snoopy, one day I'm going to die".
And Snoopy responds with, "but every other day you will be living".
