Another year done, so what's next?

Another year done, so what's next?

I'm not one for New Year's resolution, but when the year ends I do like to take a moment to pause to reflect over the past year, and to think about what my hopes are for the next year.

For me, this achievement this year was being able to do yoga consistently for one year. I started it, hoping that I would learn a bit about discipline, and one year later, I'm pleased to say that, thanks to an amazing teacher, I've learned about devotion, and practice several times a week.

In 2016, I'm hoping to continue with yoga, and applying it's lesson to everyday life - being calm in the face of adversity, laughing at myself, and being kind to myself and others.

What about you? What are your highlights and achievements of 2015 and their hopes for 2016?

Re: Another year done, so what's next?

Im your friend for life @Loopy

I think we need @Appleblossom to talk to @Terry.....

@Terry you quirky little being.........

This comment might be taken as too mean and I Am sorry. I need someone like @Appleblossom or maybe....... @Jacques...... or hopefully......@kristin who has better, caring, writing.

So @Terry....I am very sorry. Please let me offer you an apology straight away

I'm sorry.

I actually more believe than not; therefore I'm agnostic twist. But in no way will I turn to God with your words. Your words are too much like a personal story which suffocate me and please please bear with me because I truly do not believe that this is you. Your a wonderful kind (shows) lady who is online to hang out with peer's...... I actually........can care for you as an individual, as a person.

Can we break down one of your messages together. Please tell me when I go wrong.

@MoonGal i hope you are not lost, but if you are, you can certainly be found.

Dear @Terry, I've copied some messages of yours so we can discuss them ok?? I want to show where I really like you and can see where you are actually a kind caring person. Now....when most people come onto this site......(including me and @Loopy.....you can tell the truth @Loopy..).. we hadnt been able to be 'heard,' for years and we were all frantic and insecure......

@MoonGal i hope you are not lost, but if you are, you can certainly be found.

This is the first comment which I personally find beginning sweet and nice..........but then I smile slightly....I feel a bit of tension on the jionts of my fingers and my head shakes slightly. I think...oh dear I hope @MoonGal is in a good place.........

Why would I think that?

" if you are you can certainly be found." While Im writing this, my darling husband is constantly talking to me......he can't help it, his condition is this. The tv. is blowing...Im trying to concentrate.

You have been where I am.

You know what feeling I'm having.

Say if @MoonGal is doing what Im doing? Would she also take this comment with a slight smile, a small shaking of the head and slight tension on the joints of fingers?

Would she read the negative or the positive in this comment??

@Appleblossom. What can I say, beautiful. I am lost for words you are so intuitive and, damn it a bright spark, as an older Aussie I can say that about you.

Re: Another year done, so what's next?

I would like to step out of this conversation, and feel that perhaps I have misread the health status of one of the individuals I was speaking to. I suspect we must all accept that some people will be very sure of religious beliefs, and defend them strongly and perhaps not understand the subtlety of some responses. I am very sure of my own atheism, very happy and strong in my own values system and wanted to share a lived experience where I had thought I was cured of something by prayer when I was actually deluded about that. I also wanted to share that I stepped out of that environment because the people there did not really have my best interests at heart and they also had no clue what to do with a young woman living with a mental illness. I was a right royal pain to my friends then, one still reminds me constantly about how hard I was to be friends with "when I was a born again christian". Over and out on this one.

Re: Another year done, so what's next?

No apology needed, it is just a discussion about how something might be taken differently from how it was intended @PeppiPatty - I am bowing out because I have said everything I have wanted to say on this subject (and reiterated it before I went in case that was helpful).

@Terry Certainly not the place for that type of information especially when the thread is about The New Year. Most inappropriate content.
