Another year done, so what's next?

Another year done, so what's next?

I'm not one for New Year's resolution, but when the year ends I do like to take a moment to pause to reflect over the past year, and to think about what my hopes are for the next year.

For me, this achievement this year was being able to do yoga consistently for one year. I started it, hoping that I would learn a bit about discipline, and one year later, I'm pleased to say that, thanks to an amazing teacher, I've learned about devotion, and practice several times a week.

In 2016, I'm hoping to continue with yoga, and applying it's lesson to everyday life - being calm in the face of adversity, laughing at myself, and being kind to myself and others.

What about you? What are your highlights and achievements of 2015 and their hopes for 2016?

Hello @MoonGal @Terry @PeppiPatty @Mazarita

Glad to finally meet you Oh Looped One.

I have had a whirl wind going through my mind and house this week ... on Monday my son said he was going to study 5 days per week in the CBD ... and then I heard 2 neighbours are leaving the street I live in ... and I am sick of all the travel ... then all of a sudden I had real estate agents in and was getting quotes to do repairs etc.

Normally I am not so impulsive. Now my son is less convinced he will see the course through. So I am glad I didnt push too hard and put house on market.

It was great for him to go through the audition process and be accepted ... he is firming up his ideas about the different educational opportunities available. For me it is a great relief as he had rejected education completely for so long ... he is more likely to stick out part time in the long term. A positive attitude along with the belief that he can get his genuine educational needs met is a big change.

Today he was getting along with a few tertiary teachers in a social event and is starting to lose the school equals prison feeling ... we'll see what happens ... at least he knows I try to be responsive.

So still not sure whats happening this year .. I have music lit and good food on the list .. feeling quietly optimistic ... hope things unfold well for you all too.

@Appleblossom, like wise, from what I see you are going through a troublesome time. My brain is still asleep at the moment, but rest assored, I will do the right thing and comment further about your post if that is ok. It is not that I short of words I am usually a bucket of knowledge, as I should be at my age.

loopy.
