Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI
How lovely if you to spend the day with mum. I'm sure she appreciated having you around fir support, even if she didn't say so. It must be disorientating for her to be sent there so soon after arriving at the private hospital.
Your nerves must be frayed from all the added stress.
Would be good if the hospital did a lot of tests to determine what is happening with mum. Would be great if they could get a geriatrician specialist to review her as well. They could then look into dementia and see if that is happening.
Does your mum at least tell you some of how she is feeling. Like - tired or - wanting to be left alone or - any pain?
Very frustrating when you're on the sidelines and can't do anything to help. Just waiting for the experts. I feel for you.
I fell into a deep sleep just before 4pm. But my mum and son woke me up at 5.30 - as my cousin lost her rings, somewhere in my garden. Couldn't find them.
Went back to sleep for another hour. Too tired to cook. So ate the last 2 slices of pizza left over from the night before.
Am just about to go to bed again now. Body and mind exhausted.
But it's after midnight, which means it's Saturday. Your birthday. So I'll get in first to wish you A Very Happy Birthday Bella.
I hope you have a beautiful afternoon/evening with your friends. Enjoy the movie. Hope it's as funny as it looks.
HAPPY 40TH.

@utopia
aaaw thanks luv!
mama is confused poor luv, she thought she was being discharged and coming home with me when i left. broke my heart. i feel that she is in good hands where she is so im feeling okay about it. and ive told them to call me if anything happens.
im hoping they do perform tests to see what is going on with her. something is obviously not right. that is a good idea luv re: geriatrician specialist to review here. thank you. i will mention it to them tomorrow.
at times mum will say how she is feeling, her common complaint is that she feels weak. her blood tests come back ok though. she couldnt recall what happenned at the clinic yesterday, ie refusing meds and agitated with nurses, not letting them take her bp. poor luv.
my uncle knew mum had been admitted to another hospital. i didnt hear from him at all though. my aunt finally rang me. i then texted my uncle to give him an update but didnt hear anything back. disappointing but it is what it is hey? i am proud of myself though for being strong and being there for mum, i need to rely on myself to deal with this stuff. i guess im stronger than i thought hey? gotta put my big girl pants on haha
you must have been so exhausted luv, i glad you got some rest this afternoon. oh bugger, not good about your cousins losing her rings! speaking of rings though, i can pick up mum's engagement and wedding ring next tuesday - i cant wait!
you have a good nights rest luv, and i hope tomorrow is a better day for you and you feel more relaxed.
aaw, you're the first person to wish me a happy birthday! thanks luv! i feels special 🙂
you sleep well luv, thanks for checking in with me. chat tomorrow!

How did your night go? Was the movie really funny? I do like Amy Schumer. She tells it like it is.
Was it good to catch up with your girlfriends? Did you have fish and chips after all?
I'm a little flat today. Really struggling with wanting a drink. So taking it very easy. Am irritable so trying to avoid my son as much as possible so I don't scream at him for no reason. I'm not nice to be around when I feel like this.
Hope your mum is doing a bit better today.

I rang an AA contact and had a chat with her for a while. Then went outside and did some relaxation breathing - listening to the birds for about 5 minutes. Feeling better. A bit anyway.
What are you doing for distractions?

Hi sweetheart. Im sending u lots of love and hugs. The movie was good, we ended up going to hans for dinner then back here for a cuppa and cake. It was a nice evening. I was quite teary at times, not having mum with me. She has been moved to a private room so i think she is happy with that, but hasnt been drinking enough fluids . I will go and see her in a little bit.
Like @outlander suggested, can u do something to distract yourself luv, especially from having a drink? You have done so well, hang in there, you know u can do it sweets. How about wandering around your freshly cleaned garden. Get some sunshine and fresh air. 🌞🌞 read a book in ur garden? 😊
I've woken up with anxiety this morning. Going slow. Will have a shower soon and go see mum. Psych gave me script for anxiety meds that i can take when it gets too much. Think I'll fill the script today so i have them if i need them.
So what will you do with yourself my love?
😚😚💚
