@Bella1978.
So glad you had a good night out with your friends. And crying on your birthday is always allowed. Lol. I always cry on mine.
Sending positive thoughts that your mum will be more settled today. I still think it would be a good idea to get a gerontology specialist in to review her. Her not drinking enough fluids is a worry. Can you take her in a favorite drink of hers? That might help. If you have any cake left over, she might like that too. Just be sure to save some for you.
I'm glad you got the meds for if you need them. I rarely take mine, but somedays I really do need them. I normally take just one and go and sleep for a little while. Then when I wake up again, I'm no longer anxious.
Have a nice afternoon. Beautiful sunny weather in country Victoria again today.

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI
So i took one of the anxiety meds and ended up with such a headache 😔 did bugger all for anxiety pfft
Mum was a bit more settled today - she is in her own room. But she is on a fluids drip. Because she is dehydrated, her kidney function has deteriorated. They're still trying to sort out her bp too. The doctors have lept me informed which im very grateful for. And yep i took in an oj and some cake. She had some of the cake 😊 mum will be reviewed by geriatric psych tomorrow morning. How r u both feeling?
Im laying im bed. Apart from the headache, am happy to stay here ☺
