Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI
@utopia
Yeah, he is very easy on the eye. he’d only be in his 20s though … I could be a cougar haha! He was helpful and it was good to touch base with him, just to have someone to talk to and have a cry, without being judged.
As its my 40th birthday I bought myself a ring. Mum gave me her engagement and wedding ring so ive decided to get them repaired and wear them too. I also have a pair of earrings that she doesn’t wear. She’s not big on jewellery but it looks so nice on her lol … funny girl she is.
I rang to check up on mum this arvo. The nurse said she hasn’t been good today. She refused her morning meds, wouldn’t eat, wouldn’t let the nurses take her blood pressure and just wanted to be on her own. she only wanted to see her psychiatrist. i was considering going to see her but the nurses said they are checking up on her every 30 mins and they will call me if anything happens. Fortunately, I received a phone call not long after from another nurse who told me she had settled down a bit. I really don’t know what is happening with her at the moment utopia ☹ yep, some very hard decisions, and anxious about how mum will react to things.
Mum is having an EEG luv, not ECG. Ive had a look online and its to find problems with electrical activity within the brain. It can help diagnose things such as sleep disorders, head injuries, dementia, stroke, brain tumour. Yes, mum has had ECG’s too as she had chest pains, but like you, hers was chest pain brought on by anxiety. she’s also had the heart monitor and had an angiogram. She’s had so much going on poor luv. I have that same physical symptom of anxiety too. Wow luv, you’re so young to have had a stroke. And ive heard that some people can have strokes and not even notice as they don’t display the physical symptoms. our bodies are so strange, aren’t they? And it is hard when something happens internally but we have no physical symptoms to know what has happened.
Um, as for the hair, didn’t happen … i’ll do it in the morning. Ive promised myself I will! Ive got the morning free and then in the arvo im going to see my psychiatrist. I actually want to see if he can give me something when my anxiety gets too much as, at the moment, I am finding things a bit hard dealing with mum’s stuff. I think its more the security that I have something there in case I need it.
I’ll be the big 40 on Saturday. I had initially planned to go to high tea with mum this week and also hold an afternoon tea on Saturday with my 2 closest friends. I was going to do some baking and have them here in the afternoon. It wouldn’t feel the same without my mum here though so I’ll do that another time when things with mum have settled down. At least going to a movie and having dinner will be nice, and I wont be staying home on my own.
Ooh you are my sister’s age! She will be 48 this year too – her birthday isn’t until august.
Ooh nice, pizza. Im not sure what im having for dinner. Ive got some veal cutlets in the fridge that I cooked the other day. I may just warm them up – nice and easy. U have good pizza place near you? we have a good fish and chip place near us but no pizza place *sigh* … love fish an chips though 😊
