Yes I think maybe I would be thinking about how old he would be now and hoe his life would be lived. Married. Kids. Employment. Etc.
Hopefully mums hallucinations will start slowing down now she's been on the new meds a short while. Pity she couldn't continue the heart monitor. But at least she got the kidney scan. And how good is it that it's come back all clear. That's a relief.
My sister and I are different shapes. She has the beautiful hourglass figure - which most clothes are designed to fit. Me I'm bigger on the bottom. Have a very solid middle and not so big up top. The only good thing about getting so fat is that I finally have boobs. Although my stomach is still bigger than my boobs. Lol. Poor me. But good that you got some clothes.
I won't be studying anytime soon unfortunately. Not until I am 'stable'. I told my psychiatrist about my idea of just enrolling in a single unit - to see how I cope with my memory etc. He told me (based on another workcover client of his) - that if I study, WorkCover will conclude that I'm then fit to work and will cut off my payments. With my psychiatrists other WC client - theyrefused to let her study and receive her WC payments. They said, WC is not so that you can retrain. It's meant to be until you go back into the workforce. So bugger. I'm disappointed. But I might check out this Alison site you mentioned.
Wow. A free feed and good conversation. Sounds like a nice evening.
My son & his girlfriend went to stay at his dads yesterday. First time my son will see his dad since January this year. Will be interesting to hear how his dad and dads wife take to my son having a girlfriend. In their culture - that doesn't happen until out of the teen years. Certainly not at 15!. So I look forward to hearing about it when he comes home tonight.
Yes, I think I'll grab the book I've been reading and go and sit in the sun this afternoon.
I hope you have a lovely day.

I was once talking about grounding myself by sitting on the grass and plucking pieces of grass. But I couldn't type a b**** of grass. An individual piece of grass. You soon learn what is restricted.

hi sweetheart, so nice to hear from you luv.
mum was in a really bad way yesterday. she was very agitated and the nurses were finding it very hard to calm her down. they rang me last night to see if i could help over the phone. it was really upsetting as i could hear her when i was speaking to the nurse - she was being very vocal. poor luv.
i went to see her this arvo tho and she was much calmer, took her meds with me there, and seemed more like herself. still comes out with weird stuff but on the whole she was better.
i had a lovely evening with my friend and her son. omg her son is an amazing cook! he cooked salmon wrapped in proscioutto and steamed vegies. we then just chilled and watched the voice. it was lovely but when i got the phone calls from the hospital it threw me a bit.
how have you been sweetheart? you doing okay? what have you been up to? how is your hand? sorry i havent been online much to be with you. i know you understand though. i get so drained with mum . i didnt plan on going to see her today but she rang me wanting me to bring some of her clothes to her *sigh* ... so of course, i complied hehe
whats happening in miss outlander's world? xxxxxxxxxxxxx

@utopia
Hey luv, how are you?
Mum had a really bad day yesterday, especially with her delusions, she was getting very very agitated with the nursing staff in the morning and then again in the evening. She was agitated when I was there in the arvo but I was able to settle her down a bit. I feel for her so much atm poor luv. last night they actually rang me to see if I could calm her down on the phone, she was really agitated and wouldn’t really listen to me either. she is so up and down. Today, she was calm though, more like herself. Im learning not to get my hopes up though as it changes so quickly. I have to admit, the nurses are amazing there, and they love me to bits as im able to help them when it comes to mum hehe
Yes, I was very relieved her kidney scan came back all clear too! One less thing to worry about.
Haha, yep, I know what you mean, when we manage to put on weight our boobies get bigger haha! Ive put weight on my stomach area which I really want to get rid of. Id be happy to lose 8 kgs, not a lot but something I keep wanting to do and it doesn’t happen grrr
that is so unfair that you cant study while youre on workcover, but I do recall hearing that from someone else. Good that your psych gave you the heads up with it though luv. yeah, see if something takes your fancy on Alison.
Omg my friends son can cook luv! he cooked salmon and put prosciutto around it and we had steamed vegies – omg it was good! I felt very special haha
Wow, has been a long time since your son saw his dad. Does your son and your ex get along? Wow, can I ask what culture your ex and his wife are? So how did his day go? Gimme goss hehe
Did you read your book out in the sun today? I hope you did 😊
I got home not long ago. I was starving on the way home so I got myself a lamb kebab *nom nom nom* I love kebabs! What did you have for dinner?
Have you been up to much else today luv? how have you been feeling? a bit more motivated? I hope so and I hope you are having nice weather which may help you to want to get out a bit more.
I wasn’t so good this morning. I literally wanted to stay in bed all day, and had planned to do that until mum rang wanting me to bring her some clothes. And I cant say no to her lol …. I actually took a med to help calm me down and let me sleep. Didn’t really help much. I felt like my heart was pounding out of my chest. It was horrible. Fortunately im feeling ok this evening though.
Well I hope you have had a lovely day and look forward to hearing from you soon!
xx

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI
@Bella1978 - my son and his girlfriend went to the local footy this arvo. But she stated vomiting. So I tucked her into my sons bed and let her rest. Poor thing. Is a fair drive home to her town, so she's sleeping hsre tonight.
Because ahe is sick I had to change the menu. So we just had grilled chicken without any seasoning and some steamed vegies. She managed to eat a few vegies only.
I did sit on my banana lounge in the sun today. Still reading the same book on Victorian Aboriginals in the 1800's.
Sorry to hear your mum is still struggling with the hallucinations. It must be hard for her to know what's real and for you to see it
Those nurses are damn lucky to have you help. Any news from the staff about moving her back to the psych hospital? Would staff at the psych hospital be better at trying to talk / reason with her? Just a thought.
Your dinner last night sounds delicious.
8 kg to lose. You can do that. Me - I'm at least 28kg overweight. But I'll conquer my alcohol first before I deal with the weight. Although I am loosing a little weight just by not drinking alcohol.
Have you noticed, or maybe our bodies are different. But I gain weight from the bum up and loose weight from the boobs down. Just saying it's not fair. I'd prefer all the weight to go to my boobs. Lol.
That's not good that the calmer didn't help you. Maybe you need a different one. Or maybe an anxiety med, while all of this is going on with your mum.
You were home late tonight. I do love a late night snack from a takeaway shop. Some good old greasy food. Lol.
Well I'm just going to check on the two kids and then head off to bed.
Sweet dreams @Bella1978
