Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

Re: Fragile

My son put this on this morning. He came to see me in it once, though I have sung in it a few times with a German Jewish conductor who did a lot of things with in various iterations.

Weinacht Oratorio by Netherlands Bach Society was top in google search, so I am somehow aligned with my cultural heritage.

Maybe I will do some things to honour my Aussie Irish side as well.

Honouring my love of science. Listening to Richard Feynman and then to his sister, also a professor of physics. Gotta love women in STEM... one of my hobbies... hmmmm.... good food for thought.

"The job of a scientist is to listen carefully to nature, not to tell nature how to behave."

Its too hot to do anything else, but we are NOT doing NOTHING! ooops double negatives.

Is science a strength or is it fragile? I believe it can be both.

Anyway I wish there was more emphasis on listening and comprehension in this so called evidence based mental health system.

Sorry going back to childhood and first principles.

Yeah I know its complicated, but its important that the MH field does not patronise people, or get into excessive coercive control. Never thought that was healthy in a relationship....

Hmmmm.... I am going to have find some jokes in there on particle and wave theory and Feynman and fields....and...

Apparently,

Oh Shazzy @Shaz51 Thank you so much for knowing and guessing I also need support. I found a pic I could actually post. I dont get the file size issues etc etc. It is what it is.

I was thinking I was only up for a quiet post here on my fragile thread. Yes I am still alive and still here. Yes, I am starting to face up to the responsibilities of the new year. But it is not going to be an easy one, as things are unfolding. So sad, and on my good days, stoic.

Thanks again old friend. It is over10 years now. I know you have serious health challenges. Flowers and our gardens can be so nurturing for the soul, and a place for pets and children to play, explore and even take reasonable risks. Flowers, birds and our gardens can be so nurturing for the soul.

Hugs

Re: Fragile

My biological daughter has a new job as director on a governance board in a fancy faculty at a fancy university. I should be proud. She has worked hard, but she has also judged hard. I guess she knows how to play the game. It is a mixed blessing given the whole scenario and background.

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom i read you say elsewhere that you were anxious about how today would go, and it was an unexpected outcome. Not sure what it was referring to, but checking in how you are going?

Thank you for noticing and caring @AlwaysMyself

I am alright. My family have gone through a lot regarding political stuff, but today went smoothly.

Re: Fragile

That is good to hear @Appleblossom . Politics is fraught and stressful. Its interesting that i actually find it interesting to learn about different theory and perspectives in political policies, without having to deem them "right" or "wrong" - just different priorities and guesses on what will achieve their desired outcomes. But its not a topic we could discuss with my father due to him strong bias and inability to hear/debate/discuss any other perspective or even to answer the "why" behind his own views. I can discuss it with my mother though, she is more even and understanding of differing perspectives (hers and not hers). But most peoppe i know it is a taboo topic not for social discourse. I am not a party-centric person. I look a policy, not party.
