Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

I have known you for a while @Oaktree course you are not intruding. I have valued your various thread ideas, but tried for my gently bently approach. M a little in the background but supporting.

@Shaz51 @tyme @Cuddlebear

@Dimity I am sorry it wasn’t good news at solicitor. I am not great with legal stuff and am wary of the profession.., but legalities are a fact of life, and after …. Take care to process it.

Re: Fragile

@AuntGlow often digging deep in the arts can give a good grounding in humanity. We have heaps in common.

Study and work have been safer places than socialising. Hmmmm.

@Cuddlebear @AuntGlow

the music festival is a high immersion active music making event for participants. A week of tiered classes and concerts from 9-9. Eg various practical classes all day and concerts each night. Set in boarding school with dining hall and all we do is play music. The blind fellow I mentioned is a very good musician. I probably shouldn’t say more for anonymity.

Going to it has kept me alive. It covers the anniversary of my sister’s death. So, it is a way to mark the creativity in my family plus the tragedies.

Re: Fragile

@tyme Hello 🙂 👋 I’m relieved got the place. Hoping the move goes smoothly. I’m weirdly anxious about new place but that’s more because leaving a place I’m used to and can navigate and going to have to learn the physical space. I think once I’m actually there I’ll feel safe there. Im hoping I’ll have a feeling where it becomes my home. I’m just really glad I won’t be homeless. New place is also cheaper which is good more money for healthy food.

Awww @Cuddlebear

You are so so amazing. I've read of your struggles, and boy oh boy, your story of resilience is just so powerful.

Please stay in touch an let us know how you go!

Do you have people to help you pack? Moving can be soooo daunting! I hate moving and I've only done it a few times in my whole life.

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom Wow what an amazing music festival. I’d very much enjoy something like that. Im not good at music but it touches my soul and I enjoy making music despite not being all that good. I’m really sorry to hear your sister has passed away. I can tell how meaningful music is to you and to be in that space that also marks the time of your sisters passing I hope brings you some comfort and fond memories of your beautiful sister. Grief is so painful and to me when we lose someone we love we don’t get over grief but have to learn to live with it.

Did she also enjoy music and music making like you? You don’t have to answer if you can’t right now. I understand.

Re: Fragile

@Shaz51 I like the new place because it is a stand alone villa unit and has a small yard I can play with Wilbur. It is near the bus and a short walk to the bay. At the moment I’m in a semi detached with landlord next door which has made me feel unsafe as she comes around for no reason and I don’t feel safe when she does that.

Re: Fragile

Maybe the new unit will be an improvement. @Cuddlebear how long til you move?

yes she did music too. I remember we did Pachelbels canon once when she was in the psych ward.

we were separated a lot, in different orphanages and foster homes. She passed over 40 years ago. She was young.

Hi @Oaktree - not intruding at all! Always happy for you to share your thoughts. I LOVE that you love classical music - do you have a favourite composer?

You are definitely a good friend to us. 💛

PS: @Appleblossom, I will respond to your message properly tomorrow, but thank you for sharing so much with me. It's lovely to get to know you more. 💕
