Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

Re: Fragile

@Wanderer Ireland is beautiful. Not been there since the 80s.

Thought I would move conversation over here, where I can be more personal.

You have to look after yourself too. Parenting children who are hurt is very very difficult. Letting go is part of it, but how much and how ?? Recently my ex husband, said his son may never be able to work and needs to live on his own. Finally he is seeing some of the difficulties rather than fobbing me off. My son does not want to see himself as disabled which I can understand but it makes it hard to proceeed for best outcome.

Ah The luck of the Irish. I had a lovely craic moment this month in a very awkward formal situation. Having an Irish name at sign in time made the difference.

Becoming Astrid ... swedish biopic of Author of Pippi Longstocking

Has touching interactions with toddler, who looks like my grandson and reminds me of my brother who was left with sister and me in the old house. Gives me a sense of perspective of natural behaviour at that age. Does not remind me of my son so much. Different hair.

Re: Fragile

Its good to mingle to get some christmas cheer and good to manage it for our own well being.

@Wanderer

Gone are the days when a beer will fix everything.

Also the days when any one thing will fix everything.

Life is getting complicated but still can be beautiful.

@Jo-anneJoy @Sophia1 @Shaz51

@Anastasia Read about your boy. Finger Crossed he comes through reasonably.

Talk about when it rains it pours. When we think we cannot handle one more thing, and yet issues come flooding.

Gentle Hugs.
