Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

My sleep has been back on track the last couple of days - no nightmares for 2 nights in a row. I feel like I just start to get my sleep on track and then something triggers those flashbacks and nightmares - but on the positive side it is not happening every night at the moment @Sophia1 I definitely know that feeling of accepting any sleep when it comes your way and the weird dreams can really throw us off balance.

The times I have been to the pool there have not been too many people there - it is more of a rehab pool than a swimming pool - although there are 2x 25m lap lanes which are separate to the rehab pool. If I go about the same time then I know the learn to swim classes are finished so there are no kids splashing about either.

@Zoe7 @Adge

Even though you got wet from rain tending to your birds and connecting with them is so healing for you...they are a part of your family..

as for self not fitting through cat door let alone elephant...actually cat dot is a dog door...

we had to get the largest we could due to our very large cat ...my soul fur baby who left us over two years ago...he got stuck halfway in and out in original cat door..bless him...hew was a very greedy boy..used to head butt the other two out of their dishes...they all ended up being fed in different rooms...what a performance..

just as well I don't have the large dog that I want...husband won't let me...an Irish wolfhound..

connection to this world ongoing is the dream laugh...

must go and feed my two hungry lions..

take care both of you..be kind to Zoe and Adge

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hope to chat later @Sophia1 You be kind to yourself too Hon

@Adge I can imagine you showering under the hose with your birds - definitely not the kind of weather to be doing that when you are sick - I hope your canaries enjoyed it though

Re: Living with Ourselves

Thanks @Zoe7 Yes, should spend lots more time outside watching my birds - not in this weather though.

I can hear them singing from inside the house (with doors shut).

In Summer when it's hot, I sometimes spray the aviary roofs with hose, to cool them down.

The finches, Budgies & canaries hang onto the side wire, & line up to get a bit of a spray (shower) from the hose (they really like it).

I bet they love getting a spray of cool water when it is hot @Adge. How many birds do you have?

Re: Living with Ourselves

hello @Sophia1 it has been quite a day here, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, i thought id liked your post, i usually respond afterward in full or to let you know id be back, my apologies

my work really isnt that great. i have to deal with complaining clients all the time, cant please people it seems, but all well at least their horses are looked after.
hmm yes im abit like a racehorse too, im patient but geez i just want to go out and do things normally not one handed or having to worry about it so much- it is healing though. its beginning to itch underneath the skin now- the itch you can never scratch! lol so a good sign of healing- still more pain than anything but will get there eventually.

yeah im not bothered about not being creative atm, if i force it then i dont enjoy it, i jsut do it when i feel like it and make sure im always stocked up on paints or pencils etc so have my options there if i choose.

ive forgotten what you had done today so will take another read over, its on the other page so i cant see it here.

Re: Living with Ourselves

that wouldve been really loveley to see @Sophia1 we often see the calves here too. down the road from us, it was quite a chilly morning but it was such a loveley sight. it was still foggy but enough to see where the sun was shining and in the sun there were a circle of sheep laying down sleeping and then it looked like a ram in the middle but it was actually a goat. it was really cute, the goat was in the centre sleeping standing up with the sheep sleeping laying down in a circle around him.
just thought id share that with you too,
i really hope the good things last too, maybe a walk near the cows each day would be helpful?

i just seen you were logging off for now, so hope to catch you abit later. enjoy your evening

Re: Living with Ourselves

I have about 50 finches @Zoe7 Canaries, Bengalese, Zebras, Javas, Goldfinches, Orangebreasts, my fav Red-Faced Parrot-Finches (2), 3 Bourke parrots, Budgies (a family that started with 2), 3 Cockatiels, & 2 Barbary doves.

I guess it's a bit of a handful, but they're all lovely.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Oh wow @Adge I thought you were going to say a few of each, I certainly didn't expect you to have that many - you certainly do love birds It would take a bit of time to keep their cages clean wouldn't it?
