Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @Jacques

I am so sorry to hear that your mum has blood clots still there.

Were you able to listen to the doctor who explained the results of the scan.

I am hoping that the management of the clots from home has been explained to you...

This might help to allay some of the anxiety around such news...It is a natural response to be very worried about someone whom you love so dearly.

Going to appointments with her and asking questions on her behalf if this is her wish, is a way of helping both of you understand what is happening more clearly.

If you are going... do not be afraid to ask questions...Write them down before the appointment as these appointments are often hurried by the specialists or doctors...

You are probably already doing all of this as you have been caring for her for your whole life in one way or another.

Feeling tired is a natural response also to all of the above and everything that has occurred before.

Promise me that you will remind yourself that you are not to blame for any of this. You have not failed anyone. You have been a tower of strength even though it might not feel that way to you...

I know this from my own world...

Reading is such a wonderful way to get out of our heads and into a book.

From memory you only like non-fiction?

My sons are both the same.

I enjoy both.

Currently I have only read the forward which spreads over several pages and in itself is interesting of an author, Stine Pilgaard. The author is danish and the book has been translated into english.

I am intrigued..

I need to try to settle my mind a little more..One page a night....sometimes if I cannot get out into the garden due to weather....I look for my latest book.....

It is very close to my older son's birthday and this time as well as Christmas is very unsettling for me. I have just this last month passed through the first anniversary of mum passing.

Life can be very testing I know.

I hope that you can reintroduce reading into your life....If only one page every night before you close your eyes..

You have much on your plate....as I have said so often..

You do have you still ..

Hugs my friend

Sophia

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hey there @Sophia1 . Hope your sunny side up. Mate, I wouldn't pay too much attention to my posts. Coming out of a 2 month coma, on the end of a drip with goodness knows what in it, pretty much disqualifies me from seeing anything straight. Memories, faces, and places come and go, not helped by the fact that we both know there's a boarding house in my head with a few free loaders that surface from time to time when I really need em.

Shrink called in the other day and asked me, so how many people do you think you have in your head. I looked him hard in the eye and said, well how can I ever know. 'I don't know who they know" . . .

I know you got everything all under control. Its your tree and your the one sitting in it..

Very best thoughts to you Sophia..

Thought you guys should take this into account when opening strange envelopes from me.

@Appleblossom @TAB @EternalFlower

Hope you are all enjoying a splendid Sunday..

Speech therapist is coming tomorrow so I got until then too think up something that messes with her head, . . . just a little . So, I'm learning a few lines of Chinese.

OK.. ok I'm going tonys mb 1

Re: Living with Ourselves

Yeh @TAB They put me in an induced coma. Gave me a heap of medical reasons but old tonys knows. . . its was the only legal option they had left to shut me up. Had I been consulted , I would have told them just to leave the cake trolly in my room. would have worked just as well. . . tns

Having a big fat snooze now so chat with you later TABsey.

mum went to the dr today, they are putting mum on blood thinners again and they want her to go to sydney to have her veins stripped, she will have to go on a waiting list. she also now has to go onto insulin injections, as her diabeties is out of control.
