Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @TAB

Thank you

I am confused..

What is new one might think..

Is this referring to my not being able to walk across the road and walk in my park?

Or is this a place to park oneself....feel like a space in a park where one can find solace?

I am intrigued as I did watch the video....

Have to say would not rush to follow the band....laugh

Nice to hear from you though

Sophia 💚 green heart for our very green park

Re: Living with Ourselves

not sure what the song is supposed to mean, there is no deep meaning, you mentioned 'park' somewhere so brain went 'oh, look what's stored under 'park .. that's the length and breadth of that. No answer to the Universe or whatever @Sophia1 think that is 19.. lol

Re: Living with Ourselves

oh laugh @TAB

That sounds so much like something I would do..

The best thing is that even though I am so hard on myself and I have an idea that you might be the same with yourself...

look at the outcome...

A conversation eventuated..

We are so much better than we give ourselves credit for..

As for where I mentioned park that would probably be around trying to get back to walking in my park..

still on the agenda..

so here are the words

Why Worry

Baby, I see this world has made you sad
Some people can be bad
The things they do, the things they say

But baby, I'll wipe away those bitter tears
I'll chase away those restless fears
That turn your blue skies into grey

Why worry?
There should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now?
Why worry now?

Baby, when I get down I turn to you
And you make sense of what I do
No, it isn't hard to say

But baby, just when this world seems mean and cold
Our love comes shining red and gold
And all the rest is by the way

Why worry?
There should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now?
Why worry now?

hi @Sophia1

yes we get along well, im sorry your son is unable to show emotion, it has been along time for me too, i never used to be able to up until a few years ago, i was so numb to everything, i still am to some degree but it is slowly going.

im sorry your son has had issues with meds, i am the same, the meds i am on make me tired and out of it, i guess it is to slow down the hyper vigilance.

i don't think the primary school i went to has ever admited to any wrong doing, i so wish i could name the school but i think the sane moderators would remove it. it was a catholic primary school, i read in the news today the french school nun's terrorised female students with crusifixes, they are a sick lot, how can a person hurt children so badly. they are meant to be kind and caring 😞

yes, my girlfriend uses RESPECT and she finds them very good, maybe i will call them sometime.

i just don't know if i am willing to face what happened to me just yet, i am not strong enough.

oh that sounds nice, dad and i drink coffee, dad never ate anything, mum loves a white wine on special occasions, a BBQ sounds amazing.

hugs my friend, i hope you had a good day today

Jacques

Dear @Jacques

You mentioned the feeling of numbness..

I think that for me numbness has been around my clinical depression or whatever the new label is these days...at the same time trauma....

It comes and goes for me..

The fact that you are now able to show emotion is a huge achievement..you clearly have been working very hard at finding yourself admidst all of the numbness...

Again you have come a long way...I always want to remind a person to be proud when I hear of change...

It is so easy to tell others this and forget ourselves....I am in this category myself..

People who have never been through any struggles like this have no concept of how extremely painful and heartwrenching living with symptoms and pushing ourselves onwards is..

The medication side with symptoms is something that you might choose to check with a doctor if they interfere too much with the quality of your life..

Hope to hear from you when you can write

hugs my friend

@Sophia1 Hi sweetheart thank you for including pea in your post.
I love the lyrics of that song. Here is a song that I dont really
know the meaning of. It just reminds me of me. Love peaxxx

My lover's got humor She's the giggle at a funeral Knows everybody's disapproval I should've worshiped her sooner If the Heavens ever did speak She's the last true mouthpiece Every Sunday's getting more bleak A fresh poison each week "We were born sick", you heard them say it My church offers no absolutes She tells me, "Worship in the bedroom" The only Heaven I'll be sent to Is when I'm alone with you I was born sick, but I love it Command me to be well A, Amen, Amen, Amen

Dear @Sophia1

Keeping low profile. Gently coming back from crisis.

To quote from your song.

There should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain

@Bunniekins

'The giggle at a funeral' .... like that.. especially if you were really there with me.

So glad you are back and IN FORM on the forum.

I had a funeral this week, but it was kind of sad bittersweet, lovely as it meant my old friend was no longer struggling with dreadful deterioration of dementia.

@Jacques

Love as always.

Here is the music video to go with the words of the song "Why Worry". It is certainly a lovely, gentle piece of music. I still enjoy a lot of Dire Straits' music.

Either of the links will take you to the youtube presentation of the song in a new browser tab.
