Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

it sounds like lots of health issues within your family/friend circle @Sophia1 id imagine that would be pretty tough too. hmm yes i rarely ring helplines anymore, i find SANE the best to talk to and would reccomend them if you needed someone.
your a strong person but know you dont have to be strong all the time. if you need youve got us here too, im usually around and more than ok to listen to you.
how are you going pain wise, have things eased?

i am ok, its been a long road and another aniversary coming up on the 29th and financial stresses esp with upcoming things but otherwise im going ok

Hello @outlander

I am more active now than I have been for so long.

This is good for my mind and then my body tells me when to stop.

Emotions are all over the place still.

Too much illness around me that I can do nothing about except be there for people when I can.

I think that this is messing with my ever lurking depression.

Therapy is back after he had a holiday so that is good.

Anniversaries of the kind that you are referring to can cause emotional distress during the leading up to period.

Does planning something different for yourself help by referring to the day as "beach day" for example as opposed to the actual date hence reminding yourself.

Humans all relate and survive in their own ways.

I know that you will have much support on here from your friends.

I will check in on you when I am next about.

Take care and remind yourself of all the support that you give to others xxx

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1 Dropping by to say hi

I have read lately that you are still very much dealing with a lot and some things are still a real struggle - especially the illnesses around you. I do wish it was different for you but as you know we can only deal with what is in front of us and do the very best we can ...and I have absolutely no doubt that you do that with grace and dignity.

It is great that you are more active now than you have been for some time - and hopefully that helps you deal with things emotionally a little better too - knowing also that emotions can take over and make it harder for us.

Much love coming your way

Re: Living with Ourselves

Thank you everyone..

no need to tag I do not seek gratification or acknowlegement...

In fact I am confused...

I needed a break....life became intolerable.,.,,

Too many friends plus family with the "C"

I am joining outings with carer group .......some great historic visits which are priceless...

lovely to share these moments...

soon to end with NDIS roll out....

every carer whom I have met wants these outings.. yet they will not continue,,,,

Who is listening?
