Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Hello @eudemonism

As you would have worked out for yourself ...I am still on here briefly..

Can I ask you?

What did you enjoy doing as a young lad?

What did you get up to?

Am curious....

Will check in on you soon..

Take care friend...

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @Former-Member

I did seek out the thread that you tagged me in..

I feel more comfortable talking to you here...

I also understand if you are not able to stretch yourself this far...

You have so much going on...some of which I do relate to...

Please do take some time out to look after you...

It took me a long time to realise that I as in myself as a person deserve just as much care as those whom I am caring for or concerned about..

Would love to keep in touch only if you can stretch this far without any pressure though..

I do understand as I do not wander far from here these days and do not visit frequently either..

Please put @Former-Member first...

feeling for you with all of the pressure that you find yourself dealing with as well as wanting you to take care of you at the same time...

Sophia 🐾💜💚💛

I also sincerely thank you for all of your supports with my posts...💜

Re: Living with Ourselves

Oh @Sophia1 i enjoyed burning off energy, trying to get my life together, trying to set myself up with a future, trying to acquire my neeeds... i was a bit of a delinquent there for a stage... tried bmx, fishing, guitaring, stamp collecting, plus dealing with the normal teenage/child stuff... dealing with my role in the family... there was alot of stuff i forced myself to do/felt uncomfortable doing... trying to impress parents...

Re: Living with Ourselves

I totally understand @Sophia1 and when I want to talk to you, I will do so here.

Thanks so much for your sage advice, always sound, wise and well thought through.

I will, of course, continue to subscribe to your thread so I dont miss any news from you when you do visit.

Please stay well and continue to do what you need to do to keep yourself afloat and then on to thrive.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Dear @Sophia1 It is always good to see you and read your posts. They have a calming feel for me.

Hi @Former-Member

@eudemonism Having the abilty to observe the effects of meds calmly can be a step to mastery. I focus on the negative effects to get me through hard times when I am lowering the dose.

Take Care of yourselves

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1 going to bring up alone time vs social time with pysch therapist next session because i find there is a huge difference between being in solitude with one's self and being with/around others there is a huge difference actually both important but need to work out the mechanisms behind it/know when to put my make up on

I crave solitude/need solitude but also crave socialising/need socialising you know drifting in and out of independent and achieving my personal goals and needing/wanting support and being in team player mode...

I would love a wife../partner.. Because it takes so much focus off of thinking how am i gonna get through today and what am i going to do today...

Dearest @outlander

Thank you for thinking of me as always...

Leaving calming photographs of retreats were beautiful to find..

I do hope that you have some relief in your life.

I have no idea where you post these days...as is the same for others...

I am not on here very often at all now....

when I am I follow through with the "bell"

I find myself only pressing support...

I do not have enough words for everyone...I have run out of umph for everyone else...using it all up in reality..

I am slowly progressing with my physical fitness again after temporary setback from last operation ...Now that I am going out more and am on my feet more I am in more pain again...this is to be expected of course...

Much is happening with both sons...different for each of course...

Our build has finally commenced after all this time of renovating other property then sale...

so very busy with selections etc...exciting

will be relieved to get out of the halfway house with all the boxes and rediscover stuff from storage...

I will definitely be doing some serious culling though...have realised using basics now in the halfway house just emphasises how much we have of too much...

I just wish that I could have an open.... signposted as come and take what you need.. for those who genuinely cannot afford and would appreciate it...I usually give to op shops but have heard the volunteers have first pick and then put rest out for sale...not happy with that..

What have you been enjoying of late?

Art?Photography?Reading? Are you still watching outlander?

I do hope that prospects have lifted for you...

Not wanting to say too much ....as unsure what is going on in your life at present...

It is very difficult responding to people with whom I genuinely want to support when I have no idea what is happening in their lives currently..

I am fully aware these days that it is vital that I put myself first...alternative being not a self ....

a hard wake up call....

as such a young carer I cannot help myself ....please hope that you are taking time out for you...enough times....doing things that are fun...

I will be quiet now...

Re: Living with Ourselves

hi @Sophia1
im sorry for not responding yesterday, it was a difficult aniversary with the date of the attack Not out of the woods yet with a few more dates to come but todays a little better.
Thats ok, 'likes' are more than enough to show your support. its good to see you here when you can or feel up to it though.

im sorry your in more pain though, i know its not nice to live with and it can make things harder and more tireing than usual. Take it easy on yourself as much as possible ok. Heat packs and warm baths/showers and sleep. i know you know all of this but its just a gentle reminder that I and others here care for you and your wellbeing too

with the things youd like to giveaway to those in need, maybe try a charitable facebook page. For example (i can use this as an example as im no where near this area) theres a site called The Movement Sydney' but im sure youd find something like this for your area too. your items will actually go to those who need it and will collect as well. you just advertise as you would normally but only items that are free. just thought id meantion it in case thats something you were interested in. i use a site like that alot 🙂

I havent been watching outlander as im waiting on the new season to come out but ive read and watched all the current seasons. i havent been doing much crochet or art, ive lost my mojo for them both as with most things really but i know that itll come back and ill start some new projects again. i have yet another job (this makes 3) though so ive been abit busy but 2 of them arent very active atm but i like it. i cant give away to much but i can say im sharing my horse knowledge with kids, sometimes we have some disabiled kids come in too. One little boy who had autism loved it and talked heaps. i didnt find out till the end of the day that that was the most vocal he had been all year so was a really nice feeling to see him not only talking but also enjoying himself too. its very tiring though with a minimum of 2-3 hrs walking around sometimes more. Im not sure how long or often ill be there as im more of a call in but every little bit helps with the bills.

Sending warm wishes and hugs
