My journey

My journey

@Former-Member It's pretty hard when I do eventually open up
I remember what happened when I did prior then too a longgggg time ago. I was attacked!!! I am attacking everyone
Hence my song the other day on a music thread.

I don't expect responses and I don't feel left left out I have made it this far on my own and hid what i have been through repetively at times. It does not matter what I do when I don't talk about it I am doing something wrong when I do talk about it I am doing something wrong again

Re: My journey

Hi @Former-Member I am doing a little better today. I was up at 4.30 to watch soccer but went back to sleep for a couple of hours after the game. We lost but the other team deserved the win - they played much better!

I listened to the first few seconds of that video - I am glad it helped you - I can't listen to anything with a male voice...especislly when trying to sleep - it is a massive trigger for me...long story I am not going to go into here

I am so glad you had such a long sleep - you have definitely needed it - the last couple of weeks have been super tough for you.

Are you working this week?

Re: My journey

Ok. That must make it hard for you anywhere. Yeah it did help me. I don't watch soccer. Yeah working this week. What have you planned? We were invited to a party today but just wanted to avoid being the only single parent there.

Re: My journey

Yes it does @Former-Member There was a man with a very loud voice in the vet's the other day when I was there - my anxiety went through the roof - even the vet could see I was very anxious. She was great - she took Toby out of the room and to cut his nails while I tried to breathe and calm myself. I have seen this vet for a long time and we have got to know each other pretty well in that time - it is great having such a good vet too - I know my fur babies are in the best hands

I have GP and pdoc appointments this week but we have a week off DBT and I am looking forward to the break. I am going to try to get into work on Tuesday to get the IT guy to put some programs on my computer - but if I can't make it it can wait - no rush. Hopefully I can get some more painting done over the week but I need to be in the right headspace to do that.

Sorry you didn't go to the party but I understand you wanting to avoid the possibilty of being judged in any way - I avoid a lot of things for a similar reason... even though I know it is more in my head than the reality, it doesn;t make it any easier.

Is this week moving week?

Re: My journey

That would have been difficult.
Sounds good. What do you paint?
I just find it hard communicating with others that share the load.... Different entirely.
Judgement just makes it more irritating
Along with it

Re: My journey

Yeah you have to do it all on your own and that is definitely not easy @Former-Member - you do such a great job though - your daughter is a shining light in your life

I paint mostly in acrylics but have just finished an oil painting for my sister. I have a landscape I am working on (have been for nearly a year now) and just started a new set of three painitngs which are more abstract - with butterflies of course! There is always at least one butterfly in whatever I paint (except for my sister's painting - she wanted something more specific).

Re: My journey

I love all arts and crafts @Former-Member I taught Art at school one day a week before I got sick - I loved that day - had all classes from prep to grade 6. It was great watching the younger kids try to draw and colour then I would have the older kids who experimented with different mediums - it was the most rewarding day.

Re: My journey

It's cute what they do.

Re: My journey

It is so cute some of the things they come up with @Former-Member. I love teaching art to the kids but I doubt I will get the opportunity to do that again - we were lucky to have the funding for one year before we had to use that time to teach health. There is so much in the curriculum now that we can't possibly teach everything
