@Former-Member It's pretty hard when I do eventually open up I remember what happened when I did prior then too a longgggg time ago. I was attacked!!! I am attacking everyone Hence my song the other day on a music thread.
I don't expect responses and I don't feel left left out I have made it this far on my own and hid what i have been through repetively at times. It does not matter what I do when I don't talk about it I am doing something wrong when I do talk about it I am doing something wrong again
Glad you have reconnected at least... Sorry you didn't have a tight bond when young. Yes they are at times...
Yes I did recieve an apology though the memory will never be forgotten @Zoe7
Consent is really important. I can see how now I was completely violated many times over from other people from not knowing what I do now but I am choosing to forgive myself slowly instead of punishing myself for every one else's doings and actions too

Re: My journey
That is the ultimate in self-care @Former-Member - although you have nothing to forgive yourself for - what is done to you is not in any way your fault. I can see why it is so very important for you to teach your daughter how to protect herself and why you are so protective of her.

It's messed up how scars teach you more than not having them @Zoe7

Re: My journey
My 'scars' have certainly shaped who I am now but also contiue to plague me every day @Former-Member - some days are harder than others and it is difficult to move on when so much of who we are is about what we have been through

I think some times we spend a life healing to be honest instead of living @Zoe7

I don't even feel like I am healing @Former-Member - still trying to survive

Re: My journey
we spend our life working towards healing when most of it should never happened the way it has anyway.. just my take @Zoe7

Re: My journey
I totally agree @Former-Member - right now I am not even at the point that I can accept what has happened and until I can do that I don't think much healing can occur - but I do have some hope now that I can move forward - even in a very small way

Re: My journey
I know I am going forward too as much as I don't feel like it @Zoe7
I just feel like every single person spends their life hurt trying to heal about something. Feel like a little girl again some days learning about life.
My mind is deep today 🤦🏻♀️

Re: My journey
I understand what you are saying @Former-Member - some days it feels like that - like we are that little girl trying to make sense of the world and hoping for a happy life - then we get hit with another setback!
