My journey

My journey

@Former-Member It's pretty hard when I do eventually open up
I remember what happened when I did prior then too a longgggg time ago. I was attacked!!! I am attacking everyone
Hence my song the other day on a music thread.

I don't expect responses and I don't feel left left out I have made it this far on my own and hid what i have been through repetively at times. It does not matter what I do when I don't talk about it I am doing something wrong when I do talk about it I am doing something wrong again

Re: My journey

Yeah my baby is growing up 😓making her way into this crazy world of a planet
She does this thing at the moment which I taught if anyone pushes her. Pulls out her hand and says stop ✋ no pushing
Lol. No one will ever hurt my baby girl with me around guess that is why I am hated 🤔

Yeah I have lost a screw 😂But am hoping I find one in the cupboard to put it back together. I had to pull the whole thing apart. It's black too so it looked grey lol @Zoe7

Re: My journey

That is a great thing to teach your girl @Former-Member - she gives the message that she doesn't like it but isn't aggresive back - wtg to you as a mum - and your girl is the most important one to you and of course you want to protect her

My fan is originally white - now a dark grey lol... guess what you are going to 'make' me do today... hahaha

Re: My journey

Teaches her about consent. It's my daughters body.

It's not healthy with dust around @Zoe7

Re: My journey

Yes it does teach her about consent @Former-Member - something we try to teach all kids at school from any early age. Boundaries are so important and the earlier kids can recognise what is right and wrong the better!

There isn't much dust on the fan @Former-Member -most of it is taken outside when the fan is on. I clean the filter in the airconditioner regularly and that not only reduces what comes back out but also makes the system work more efficiently.

Re: My journey

I hope you had a good chat with your mum @Former-Member - I had a nap! My little fluffball snuggled in with me and I didn't want to move - then I fell asleep too

I am watching the footy this afternoon - not really interested in it but it is all that is on to watch (will probably put me back to sleep lol).

Hope you are having a good afternoon

Re: My journey

Yeah I did thanks -speaking about Mother's Day plans though my mum looks like she is off to Brisbane which will do her good.

Naw cute @Zoe7 Hope you do, you probably need as much as you can with loss of sleep previously

Re: My journey

Thanks for reminding me @Former-Member - I nearly forgot Mother's Day is coming up - this year might be less stressful for me as I am more willing (and confident) to speak up for myself where my mother is concerned. She is also giving me more space than she used to and that is helping our relationship. We have never been overly close but maybe that can change in the future.

Both Toby and Cat are waiting for their dinner (mostly Cat - she usually comes out of her room and starts sitting next to her bowl about this time every night lol).

I think I will have to have something very light again tonight - my stomach is still a bit tender

Re: My journey

That's good regarding the relationship.
My mother and I used to be best mates but we have had our moments where we didn't talk for some time due to betrayal within the family twice... regarding me....

I was sexually assaulted by a family member and also do not know who my real father is but I think mum might be protecting me as like I am with my daughters father because word has been said his a cheat & not a good person. The story goes that he was seeing my mum and had an affair which then my mum found it. To be quite honest I want nothing to do with him anyway.

Now we have bonded yet again, I am hoping you can too for the sake of life is too short to be away from those you love even if betrayal has happened at times...depending on what is forgiveable and what isn't

I still do not talk to the man that sexually assaulted me but mum yes...Not related to my mum.

Sounds good regarding lighter meal @Zoe7 just to be safe I guess

Re: My journey

I had a very strained relationship with my father for a long time but I confronted him in my early 20s and we have been much closer every since. Just like my mum - we are not very close but we at least do have a relationship now that we never had when I was young.

Families are complicated @Former-Member

I understand how relationships can be fractured for so many reasons - sexual assault being one of those
