Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

It is the greatest mystery of all

Yet nothing surpasses its healing power and awe

More valuable than gold

Its pure beauty pierces the soul

Utopia - making us whole

Everything else is fleeting

Leaving one empty forever needing

Nothing else lasts the journey

It is with us for Eternity

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

I get stressed about what to write. I read everyone’s lovely replies and get overwhelmed that I have nothing left to give.
I gave my all to friends and family and now feel so broken and I don’t know what to say.
Thankyou. @Former-Member @Owlunar for your kindness. 💜💜💜💜

Just say what you feel and what you are comfortable with dear @Former-Member - whether short or long when you feel up to it my friend. When we give our all and others let us down it can leave us feeling disheartened, down and depleted. But when one door closes, another opens. We will knock on it and continue the journey when we feel inspired and ready. In the meantime lean on us ❤️

Hi @Former-Member and @Former-Member

Post when you can Bella - there is no hurry - I think it's important to say a ittle as you have and save the longer messages for the times when you feel okay

And Enigma - thanks for those wonderful insights - I find it helpful to post here - in the forum - I have had too much extra physical pain over the last months and try and make light of it with clipart but the truth is that it really wore me down -

And with the change of seasons I will be posting more - I do post more in cooler weather

My daughter - yes - she is special - she is a miracle actually - I was told I would not be likely to have a baby and here she is and I am so blessed with her - she is a very busy woman - she works and is in a band also so she has band practice and daily practise as well and I am delighted that she has taken up learning a musical instrument - I play the piano and I used to play guitar until my fingers became too arthritic so I was surprised when she started learned to play the guitar and then kept it up -

I can't say enough about this - and her profession - she is a horticultuist and she started as a gardening apprentice -

My uncles - they were still boys when I was born and I thought they were my big brothers and I was told that they were my father's brothers and that's wny they went home with my grandparents. I love the memory and I have special memories of all of them

Which is excellent - when it comes to my siblings I fear it is a lost cause - I can understand why they are the way they are but there are situations when the water under the bridge is contaminated to a degree that it would take a miracle to change the situation - and personally - a good idea to share too - I don't have the time to try and change other people - I accept them as they are - but when the toxicity reaches a certain level we have to move on with our lives and please ourselves

In this way - pleasing ourselves - at least we are happy - or can be - in our own skin - trying to please other people might mean no one is happy

I will be around more with the change in seasons and thanks for your thoughts Enigma

Everything has a trigger @Former-Member @Owlunar
Sounds a song smells, you name it, bad memories. I try so hard every day to be positive and not think about things, but it’s all there, around me.
I struggle wanting to be alive every day.
Thanks for listening.
It feels bad complaining, I feel I should be encouraging you and others.
I feel empty though.
❤️❤️

A phone call with my mother can affect me for days @Former-Member @Owlunar
Best avoided, which I try to do.
The “stuff” she brings up is way too much for me.
I’ll get over it. 😘

Love and hugs to you both. ❤️❤️

Those triggers are hard to avoid at times @Former-Member - sounds like you are grieving my friend. It's painful and can take time, our time - I find distraction helps to push out those painful thoughts and memories. And talking about it helps me too, as you are doing here. It's not bad - it's good that you are getting it off your chest. It can weigh us down too much keeping it bottled up too long. I hear you and am sitting with you 🤗💞☕️

Would your mum listen if you asked her not to talk about those things that upset you? Sometimes just hearing about what other family members are doing that have wronged me can trigger. I change the subject very quickly - I don't want to know. I think I do understand @Former-Member - it is best to avoid those conversations.
