Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

It is the greatest mystery of all

Yet nothing surpasses its healing power and awe

More valuable than gold

Its pure beauty pierces the soul

Utopia - making us whole

Everything else is fleeting

Leaving one empty forever needing

Nothing else lasts the journey

It is with us for Eternity

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

crazy aaa @Owlunar already wednesday

I still find the days zip past -- ha ha me too , when it comes to sunday night , i feel like yelling where did the weekend go and mr shaz gets to get low because the next day is monday xx

I had to leave the computer overnight and I miss it when it's not here - sending you knowing hugs my friend

it is like when you have no power and you put the jug on for a cup of tea

I think the problem is @Owlunar is that mr shaz has had a life of soo many struggles , his first marriage , losing so many jobs , accidents , attempted si , money problems , mental health problems , his children , divorce , no money , no security

and now with regular very low income , we have work and I have tried to tell him we can semi retire , we can do with less work which will help him and me , but I think he needs to keep working or maybe all this will be gone , don`t think he wants to go back to nothing

I inherited my dad`s house when he passed away which was my childhood home before mum and i left

Hi @Shaz51

With that kind of background I can understand Mr Shaz' anxiety - he could never relax and assume things might run smoothly - it sounds like chronic disappointment - which makes for a very unsettled life - I get it

As anxious as the job you both have makes him feel - not having it would mean everything might disappear as things have before - that must be a very hard thing for him to comes to terms with

My ex-h did not know he had a brother stillborn a year before he was born - to one day. He only found out because it was on his father's death certificate and he was only 22 then - and I think my ex had grief pushed down into him with no explanation and when our son became too much of a problem - well - he never could deal with an emergency and kids have emergency -

It was actually impossible for him to deal with thing like that and when one of the kids was hurt I would deal with it alone but if he was around I would get furious with him just standing there looking helpless - this did not rouse him to action so I could never understand it

I only see our marriage as sad now - I see my ex as a very sad and lost man - I couldn't see this when we were married or for a long time afterwards - in fact - reading what you and @Faith-and-Hope write helps me to understand my ex better -

The past does have an effect upon us - that's what most of us are about I think
