Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

It is the greatest mystery of all

Yet nothing surpasses its healing power and awe

More valuable than gold

Its pure beauty pierces the soul

Utopia - making us whole

Everything else is fleeting

Leaving one empty forever needing

Nothing else lasts the journey

It is with us for Eternity

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

No motivation @Former-Member
Have to push myself every day.
Sounds so depressing, but it would be nice to feel ok sometimes and not have to fight daily.
I try and put aside stressful things and have a break, but then I have panic attacks out of the blue about it all.
I feel bad being so negative here, but feeling so alone in this. Thanks for caring. 💜🌷🌸

When did you last hear from your daughter?

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

We are going through the same struggle @Former-Member. Panic attacks are awful - they come when we reach our tether with worry. I had one the other night - that was a sign that I had to let go or I will go down. I so relate to you when you say you wish your days could be more effortless, without fighting through so much all the time - I push all the time too. I do feel better for it at the end of the day. I feel worse if I give into it. So I fight - for others I love as well. But, yes....it can be very tiring. Our minds need a break then....a holiday filled with some nice happy thoughts for awhile. That's how I feel...so I dream a little and think nice things. Until reality bites again. It can be a roller coaster.....

My daughter briefly came home yesterday after not hearing from her for 4 days to collect some clothes, and she was very agitated. She wasn't her normal self and was here only minutes. Haven't heard from her since and haven't any knowledge what she is doing (guessing she is staying with the boyfriend). She has gone totally cold and cut us off. And denied in that brief encounter everything she admitted only two weeks ago about the boyfriend and his drug addiction/violence. She is totally under his control and avoiding us. We were wonderful 2 weeks ago - now we are the bad guys who don't matter again. I am so tired of her treating me this way. And worried about her at the same time. I have to try and move on from that somehow as I deserve some happiness. I do want a life and have earned it.

I hope those panic attacks diminish for you @Former-Member - worry does take its toll. Here for you if ever you want to talk 💐xx

That’s hard for you @Former-Member
You’ve done all you can to help your daughter and I really hope that you can find peace in the fact that you’ve been a good caring mum.
I hope you can be kind to yourself and find some joy in your embroidery and other things you do.

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Thank you @Former-Member - I have been good to my daughter, always. And she has acknowledged that I am a good mother. That is why I find it so hard to understand why she does what she does.......I have given trying to and just have to go with the flow and hope she doesn't get too badly hurt or that I lose contact with her entirely. The latter can be mental torture....One day at a time....It is hard.

Your words are so soothing, what a lovely person you are ....inner peace is my ultimate goal. I have had tastes of it then can lose it again. It doesn't last long enough yet. It truly is happiness.....I wish you the same my friend. I wish your daughter and yourself peace, love and better times ahead. Until then we are here for each other ❤️

Good evening to those who may be reading - hope your day went well

How was your day @Former-Member? Hope it was a little less intense for you and it was okay.

My day was good. As usual I had to push myself out the door, but I enjoy my volunteer work. There are some fun coworkers there (two young males) whom I have a good belly laugh with. And all the staff treat me well. I see some sad stories and it's good to be there for them - and I love the connection, good will and conversations I have with many there. Does me the world of good. I hope I will always be able to keep it up.

So not such a bad day. I will do some cross stitch this evening - it is starting to look pretty. My daughter comes home after work this evening - haven't seen her for over a week so that will be nice. Hope your daughter is going well at university. Thinking of you 🤗 xx

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Morning @Former-Member 💜🌷
Yesterday was like most days, although I was able to push myself out for a food shop and walk at the beach. Luckily I took a rain coat.
Daughter is enjoying meeting up with new friends, but she’s unusually tired often. Quite concerned.

Nice surprise that your daughter visited.
How did the visit go?

I’m still trying to get moving. Had to take extra sleep med last night.

Any plans for you today?

Rainy here again. I don’t mind too much about rain. Just very humid when sun comes out.
Lots of washing to catch up on.

☕️☕️

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Good morning my dear @Former-Member

Lovely to see a post from you my dear friend. Was pleased to read that you got out yesterday up the shops and for a walk along the beach - such a beautiful country we live in to have such an abundance of nature to enjoy. I often walk along the beach. I enjoy walking along open air shop street strips on the beachfront - they have a variety of shops here which are interesting to look through.

Its good that your daughter is getting together with friends - I would be mentioning the unusual fatigue when you see her specialist next. Sometimes adjustment to meds can do this but for peace of mind it may help to discuss this with him/her further. I hope daughter picks up soon 🌹

Today I have lots on as usual. I am a busy gal. I am just about to do my cardio, areobic exercise and yes, to put on a load of washing! And then I will visit my friends. After that I am off to the hairdresser for a cut. Then I will dye my own hair a copper/blonde/red (I know how to mix them up and can get Jeval through a friend). I like doing this as I know what I want as the hairdressers never seem to get it right (am a fuss pot lol). Then on my return home will get stuck into my stitching again which is coming along very nicely.

Daughter stayed over last night and was very pleasant. She is distant and quiet today. My daughter is like a box of chocolates - I never know what I am going to get. Wish me luck.

Its raining off and on quite heavy here and we were warned of possible flash flooding - hope I don't get stuck at the hairdressers 😳😨

Are you mainly staying in today to catch up on a few chores? I hope you can do some nice things for yourself that you enjoy and which takes your mind to a better place for awhile. I think if I listen too much to my emotions that plague I would be not in a good place. I want to be happy - don't we all? So it's keeping busy for me as much as possible - distract, distract that mind. Will pop back on this evening. Sending a warm hug your way.

@Former-Member
I just tried to post a message here to @Former-Member and it said that Sane forums is closed for maintenance.
How strange. My post disappeared. 😳😃
